I am so proud of Caesar today! I have a little story to share that was so cool that I called Monica the moment it happened!
Long story short, I office from home when I am not traveling. A girl I am seeing came by for lunch on her break. After eating she sat outside and had a quick smoke before she left.
Caesar was laying out on the fenced in patio so I left the door open and was back in my office answering an email when I heard him barking. Then he ran in and looked at me like what the hell dad??!
Now, I think many of us mentioned that the N-litter babies arent particularly vocal so when Caesar barks, he always has a reason and I pay attention.
I follow him outside and up against the wall of my house, is a still lit cigarette that the wind had blown. Now keep in mind, the house was not on fire and it was just smoldering....so with the wind, I didn't even notice until Caesar "showed" me what he was barking at!!!
I proceeded to put the cigarette out and then throw it away. He was immediately calm, grabbed his ball, and walked back inside.....
Showed a lot of intelligence for a bratty adolescent! Very proud daddy right now:)

N-litter babies aren't very vocal? How I envy you. Jack has a huge bark -- as our neighbours up and down the entire block can attest. Sigh.

Asha failed Schutzund evaluation because she was not vocal.
Yes N-litter babies don't bark without a reason... unless there is a squirrel or a rabbit running through the property and Asha is confined to the deck area. Then you can hear her frustrated loud bark - no way to chase it!

Kazi wants to know is Asha is getting "soft" with Gino???? Kazi still has Dante walking on a "tight rope"...no pun intended as we just watched Nik Wallenda walk across The Falls....
Since we moved into our new home 5 weeks ago, we both have noticed quite the change in both of the dogs. Dante is being a "dog" again....he is still protector of house and home, and of his "girls", but to actually see him DAILY playing fetch, playing with his ball, and me chasing him and being chased by him ( yeah, that one is a little scary sometimes---crap he's a big dog-- ) but it gives us such an amazing feeling to see the change in him, and of course Kazi too.
BUT, that being said.....Kazi is still keeping Dante on his "paws"

Soft? LOL... no she is not! Gino knows better how to protect himself and give her a heck.
I see him dominating her more often... also I noticed some kisses and love between them. They want to be together more often now... what is not good cosidering her coming heat. Did you notice any swelling? I think we will have heat in 2-3 weeks if not earlier. Gino has more interest in sniffing her...

We put Kazi into the "spa" yesterday for 2 days.....she just loves it there! I had a 2-day course and Kerrie had 1-on-1 time with Dante...but by this afternoon, apparently he was "missing" his Kazi-girl!! We arrived at the house at the same time, Kerrie with Dante and Kazi and myself, and it was a reunion only seen in tv ads....lol...he was sooo happy to see Kazi, and the 2 of them headed off to the yard to chase eachother and reunite. They are sooo cute....
Don't get me wrong....cause she missed her "man" too...all is good tonight as they are together again though

Asha is officially in her heat.... oh poor me!
I allow my dogs to play together under supervision. Gino behaves fine but he is very emotional loving brother now  My husband will take him away for a week in the middle of her heat. It may help not to stress me too much.
Chlorophyll pills should help to reduce his "desire".
How is Kazi?

Scarlet started her heat cycle 2 days ago. I guess she came in a bit early cuz Kazi and Asha were before her by about a month last time. Back to the "sexy thongs" and no dog park for a while! Darn lol

In her heat... she does not look any different.
Gino keeps a distance... no need to separate them yet.

Wow....Kazi says that her sister looks awesome. She would like to come visit for a week when you get vacation. I will happily pay for her plane ticket to fly her to you, or better yet, will rent a motorhome and come and visit. Let me know when you are off, and we may show up at your dog park.....
