Hi all! Glad to be here and to see all your shining words! lol! I am a soon to be Doberman puppy owner from the P-Litter. I'm over flowing with joy. Not only about the puppy, but also that that our new family member will be home around the same time that my hubby will be home from deployment. How awesome is that?! ;D I've been supplementing my anticipation by shopping. Can a dog really have too many toys? Hope not, lol! Also welcome O-litter puppies! so beautiful! Heather G.

Welcome Heather! You will find a friendly group of fellow Dobereich owners!
Hope you stick around and no you can't have too many toys! You can ask my boy Zeus, he has them all over the house and yard and my truck ;D

Sounds fantastic! I'm so glad to be in a place that will support me, and share in my happiness, and be there for me when I need advice. I'm so spoiled! "Thank you Hubby!" While I'm shopping I may have to get him some new tools. Gotta spoil the husband too! First the N-Litter and now the O-Litter, where is Samantha when you need her to speed up time? ;D

Hello,
speaking from experience, there are never to many toys.

Heather, The dobereich family that post here is slowly growing since Monica redid the website and added this board. You will find everyone here is friendly and they are a good support group for you too. Monica watches the board and will jump in as needed.
Welcome and feel free to post and share your excitement. Very happy for you and your family!

What toys are you buying Heather? Monica has the list of toys she would recommend. Have you seen it?

Lisa, I would love for you to post the list as we are getting all of our toys this weekend. I haven't spoken about that yet with Monica.

Adreina, Monica will send you the list shortly. You would be surprised how much information you will get from her soon! Don't rush to the pet store yet. The booklet she sent is a property of Dobereich kennel and I can not distribute it. You will get it soon

I have only bought her a few stuffed animals so far. I was thinking of getting her a snuggle puppy. Anyone have experience with those? I thought I might send it to Monica so it could be scented by her mom and litter mates to bring home with her. It simulates moms heart beat and has heating packs to put in it. Also no I haven't seen a list or anything from Monica for a few days. I'm sure she is getting everything together.

Zeus loves Cuz rubber squeakers, He still has the original one from Monica and a couple spares in different colours. Still his dinobone too from his 1st toy selection from Monica.
The cuz is a little bigger then a tennis ball. Actually amazing how the original one is still fine as not many a day he's not playing catch and fetch at some point with it. Wubba Kongs are his next favorites with the streamers. he's got about 3-4 around the house bigger ones in various states.
He used to have the stuffed bear I think Kong Brand aqueakers and there was a on going AKC Mallard duck stuffed squeaker. He also had some Canada Geese same company, and a few Kong monkeys but but he was too hard on them after he was over a year and would rip them up pretty good.
The Cuz and Wubba Kongs are the best as he loves things that make noise.

LOL... Our dogs love the same toys! Gino "kills" wubba. It doesn't last in our house. Cuz is amazingly strong. Chuckit balls are survivors too. Gino and Asha love to play fetch with a ball.

Thanks for the tips guys, we were mostly planning on getting a couple wubbas in a couple sizes, and the cuz for sure. Medium and Large I think would be good? and then the kong braidz we were looking at, not sure how durable they are though. Also gonna pick up some tuffie toys! She's a spoiled girl already!

The bad Cuz Zeus loves to this day and has 3 or them around here, red, green, pink, size is about the size of a tennis ball. the red one came from Monica with his 1st toys and still going strong. It's a great fetch toy and he loves noisy toys. The Wubba Kongs would be next. As a pup they lasted long time and stood up well but now that he's an adult they don't last as long. He breaks the top ball, then over time rips the canvas covering on the broken ball and finally I take that broken ball out and he will get another week till he gets the big ball out. I trim the canvas through all that and finally he has the big ball out and that lasts about a month and I throw away the canvas cover and streamers once the big ball is out. I buy a new wubba with each big bag of kibble so he's usually got about 4 wubbas around between the new one and the one on it's last legs. The Kong BraidzMonkey he LOVED, but he destroyed it in less than an hour. I tried 3 of them and they were done in a few hours at best, so I would say forget that one. www.kongcompany.com/worlds_best.htmlThere is a little bear and it squeaks by Kong. He LOVED those bears as a young pup and they stood up well too. They were reasonable. www.petco.com/product/100214/AKC-Plush-Mallard-Dog-Toy.aspx?cm_mmc=CSEMShopzilla-_-Dog-_-AKC-_-974870&mr:referralID=66ba99b6-6cf9-11e0-9f53-001b2166beccAKC Mallard duck I bought them at Canadain Tire and same as the Kong bears he absolutely loved them and they stood up well too right off as a young puppy. Once he was approaching a year old he was beyond stuffies, they would die a quick death. He's not a dog to wreck things in the house chewing etc. he seemed to know his toys were his and fair game, but leave the house and furniture and things like that alone. He has a toy pail in the same place and he goes and helps himself and knows that seems to be the place to always find a toy. Zeus was never one to suck and try and swallow things. When he did chew up toys he always spit out the pieces so we never had any issues to keep him from swallowing pieces and having internal problems. Kongs he could care less, he's probably got 3-4 at least in his toy pail but he never picks them. he also has a JW red rubber bone and it's liked less than the Kongs. So I think you won't go wrong with a Cuz bad version, Wubba Kong the size for the pup, and a good quality stuffy like a Kong bear or those AKC Mallard ducks to start.

Has anyone heard any new updates about Cleo and Rogun's breeding? I'm sure Monica is busy with the O puppies, I was just wondering if anyone had heard.
