Ok so I have really given some thought today about registered names. I came up with 2. I think Im either going to go with Alice or Kira. So now I'm down to 2 names and 2 registered names. Maybe meditation will help. uuummmmm Though Alice has more meaning to me, but my husband really likes Kira. Dobereich's Peacemaker aka Alice Dobereich's Patriotic Beauty aka Kira or vice versa. I will hold on to these and carry them around with me. I know it will come to me.

Alice means Noble in German. I am mostly of German decent. I also love the movies Alice in Wonderland and Resident Evil. The main character in the movie RE is named Alice and is the savior of earth after the Umbrella Corperation genetically engineers super human monsters. Raven doesn't really have any real meaning. It is of course a bird and a color. Kira is a Russian feminine variation of CYRUS. Cyrus means Sun or Throne in Persian. I will have to give the registered name a deep thought as well. the letter P, hummm... Some cool meanings there for sure for Alice and Kira. Hearing that Raven goes to the bottom of my favorites! Kira is cool sounding saying it and imagining using it with the dog, but you get the same effect using Alice too! It just sounds more common a name to someone not knowing the real deep meaning to you. Both tough decisions knowing the background of the names, seems like Alice has a strong personal meaning to you and is the odds favorite! Good Luck! Sometimes too it's good when you can have funny or happy slang versions too to use... Zushy is one we have my wife uses Kama Kazi - Barb and Kerrie use and that's hilarious! LOVE IT!! They say she goes Kama when she gets crazy... thus KamaKazi! This name stuff is tough isn't it! I guess we are lazy in our house we just keep the same name and add a number Zeus I, II, III,

Dobereich's Patriotic Beauty - Alice Dobereich's Peacemaker - Kira If I remember right the max to the registered name is 30 characters and I THINK that's spaces too. That's why we shortened the end of Zeus's name to"NB" not the in full "New Beginning" as it was too long for the registration guidelines. Monica can chime in as she would know for sure. I like Kira too for what it's worth and the Peacemaker Kira is cool. Correct me if I'm wrong but was/is your husband overseas with the military? I'm not sure if that was your family or another? If so then the Peacemaker - Kira is a really cool name with tons of meaning. That's cool too that you can get her real name in as part of the registration name. Good Luck, you will be having 3 AM name games laying in bed thinking ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Gary for being a calming voice to help me through this process of naming. You are correct in thinking Alice is my favorite. We can also call her Al or Alie for short. I think Al is funny cause people would be confused and embarrassed for thinking she is a boy. LOL! I like pulling tricks on people. Now my debate with Kira is that my hubby really likes it and he's never really gotten to name anything before. I'm not sure if this really bothers him or not, he has always just let me do whatever I wanted. LOL! Normally names come very easily to me. I always knew what I wanted to name my children years before we had any. With our current dog I thought he looked like a Bear. I was talking about it at the shelter while we were watching him and as soon as I said Bear he responded. So that's what we called him. Funny hu? I should probably just go with my instinct and name her Alice since I'm really drawn to it. Or should it be Kira. I've never been this indecisive in my life. Yes Gary, my hubby is currently deployed overseas. Now that you put it that way, the Peacemaker does sound really awesome! Yes there will be many midnight brainstorming sessions I think.

Go with your instict If you like Alica you will enjoy calling your girl so. I named my girl after Rogun's grandmother.... and Asha is growing to be like her great grandmother tall and skinny with a high drive. Her official name is Dobereich's Nymph... and she is very sexy...hahaha. At least Gino and other Doberboys in the park think so

I just got off of skype with my hubby and he said he agrees with Alice and he likes Dobereich's Peacemaker Alice for her Registered name. He pointed out something I had forgotten about the Resident Evil movies. In the first movie there were monster dobermans guarding the hive. I almost forgot about them.
So we compromised. He liked Peacemaker and I liked Alice, we just put the two together.
Does anyone know for sure how many characters you can have in their registered name?

Me too! It is 28 charters with spaces, so I will be able to have the whole thing in her registered name. I'm so happy. I will still hold on to it, play with it and roll it around. But I'm loving it.

I'd think that "Peacemaker Alice v. Dobereich" would have a bit more flow, and it still fits withe the 30 spaces that your allowed. 30 is the total, all characters and spaces, with the kennel name as a prefix or suffix.
The 'V' is an abbreviation of the German word vom (or von) with means "OF". Dobereich means Dobe rich, but in a sovereign way. With vom, being "of a place" instead of von, which is "of a person or thing".

Thanks Monica. I hadn't even thought of that. It does sound like it has a lot better flow. I really like "Peacemaker Alice v. Dobereich". It makes it sound more like someones real name. Love it! Andreina. I will have to think about it. Though these are the websites I used since I was running on the creative empty. www.nameberry.comwww.crosswordsolver.org/definition/OIt has some really great names in there. So look around on there and see if anything really strikes your fancy. In the mean time I will see if I can't come up with anything that will give you some ideas. The reason I chose Peacemaker and Alice was because, Alice is German for Noble, I am of German decent (so is my puppy) and Alice is the name of the hero of a few of the movies I really enjoy. I chose Peacemaker because my husband is in the U.S. Air force and we are both very proud of the work he does. Hope this helps to get your creativity going. You are getting a red female right? I also sent you a PM. Heather

Love the name Heather.....sometimes it just comes out and sounds right.
We named Kazi...Dobereich's Never Say Never because we said we would NEVER get another dog....hahaha. Thus, never say never.....and along came Kazi. And we named her Kazi, which is shortened for the neighbours Doberman who passed, Kazzan. He was an amazing boy, and Kerrie was his alpha....so because of him, we have Dante, and now Kazi.
When you explain the meaning of the names, it just continues to make sense. Thats what we found....the more you explain how the names came about, the happier we became knowing that we made the right choices.
I think you have too......
