Wow, it's been a long time since Dante has had anything written about him. lol. Poor guy. Well he celebrated his 5th Birthday November 18, 2013 and he is turning into such a goofy boy. Even at 5 years old, he is becoming this sweet little puppy again. I'm not sure how his litter-mates are doing, but wanted to repost the thread about the F-litter so the families can post their dogs progress.

So, for those new owners of Dobereich dogs that are always questioning whether their dogs 1) weigh enough 2) will their chest pop out 3) when will they achieve their height 4) when will their poops stop being soft 5) when will they eat without being picky 6) is our dog at the proper weight for their age/height ....and the questions go on. I just want to say: IT'S NORMAL. We went thru all of this with Dante. The endless questions to Monica....just ask her. lol. Now having Kazi in our lives, we expected that her growth would be the same----wrong. She grew faster in every way. Height, weight...so for each dog it can be so different.. that's what I'm saying. Dante took approximately 3 1/2 years to achieve his full growth, so for those of you that may be thinking that your dog is growing slower compared to others, have patience! I would compare Dante's growth to a teenager....he was tall and lanky....then he grew into his height a bit....then he would grow taller again...he had these long legs and a skinny body....he just looked awkward. And this went on for a couple of years...questions to Monica: are you sure he will get bigger? She always reassured us that he would, but we honestly questioned her at times as the process seemed so slowwwwww. He was a picky eater...he would take a bit of his food then look our the window, look around, then take another bit and repeat the process. It took 5+ minutes for him to eat his food. But, long story short, he did grow out of it. He grew out of the acne stage, the awkward growth stage, the slow and picky eating stage....all of it. Now, he's a very handsome boy, who is now turning into a puppy again ( sigh ) with his little antics. They always seem to surprise us....

Thanks Dyanne. It's been so long since we've posted anything about Mr. Man. Usually it's all about Kazi, and occasionally Dante gets his name mentioned on the N-litter thread. So I thought that I'd write about him a little bit more. LOL. He is still Kerrie's little 4-legged boy, looking for her, always beside her...he's her private guard and best friend. He's still intact, and was supposed to have had them removed last September but Kazi had her pad injury so his surgery was cancelled with no scheduled date in the near future. He is currently enjoying a new bone which Kazi received today as a Birthday present. Yes, she has even allowed him to enjoy it. Kerrie put a chew stick in the middle of the bone and they have been busy sharing it for the past 2 1/2 hours. Amazing....
