Mario, you're very lucky with that toy... I can guarantee you that it wouldn't last a day with Diamond... she would hook her tooth into it, hold it with her front paws, and rip at it until she could get to the other ball in the middle. She had one like that without the ball in the middle and she still tore it apart.
Anyone have the eGGe? Supposed to be great for them because they can't bite it or get a grip on it... I'm just worried about how much of a projectile it would become when they hike it like a football.

I think our dogs were just bored that day with the Y and R.....they really like Coronation Street though....it moves so much more quickly with their story lines...lol...
Our dogs still have that ball too but get bored easily playing with it. They still play with the Kong, the chuck it ball is really tops, and the antlers are good. Kazi really only plays with the toys that Dante has just picked up, so it's hard to really know what she likes and dislikes...lol...I don't feel she has come into her own yet when choosing toys....yet if it squeaks.......LOOK OUT

Here is the picture that I promised of Kazi standing over her "workmanship"..... That pic is priceless! Kazi is definitely wearing her I-didn't-do-nothin'-it's-all-Dante's-fault face.

I've spent hundreds...and I do mean hundreds on dog toys just for Diesel. . . Diesel and Jack must be related. LOL. They seem to share the same disregard for the family budget. Yes they do Dyanne...they don't care. All Diesel knows is that its his and it just goes downhill from there

Raw bones are cheaper and they last Did you try to give bones to Diesel? I haven't given raw bones to D Lisa...maybe I should. He's starting to lose interest with his meaty bone so I need to look for something other than bully sticks.

I second that Ian...I bought Diesel something similar and ripped that thing to shreds...its good he didn't ingest anything...all that was left were bits and pieces on the floor.

Here is the picture that I promised of Kazi standing over her "workmanship"...../quote] Wow! I heard from Gary that Kazi almost looks like Dante and I must say he was right...if you didn't put up Kazi's name on this pic I would've continued with my assumption that it was Dante. I have a similar pic to that but I can't find it right now...it's all the stuffing from D's toys tho...so far, no throw pillows have ever been harmed on my watch. ;D

Asha was 8 weeks old when she got addicted to bones

Well maybe it wasn't a JW ball just a look alike or similar one because Ace destroys some things that you'd think he wouldn't be able to and when we play tug with this ball I pick him off the ground with him holding on to it and still nothing maybe i got lucky with this one

Hi.. My Dobie, Beezie, is three years old now and I still haven't found a stuffed toy that can last more then a day. She LOVES them but can de-stuff them in record time. She loves her rope, but will eventually pull threads off of it... I find the thing that keeps her most content is the 12 inch raw hide bones (retriever rolls). I buy packages of 12 from Rens Pets Depot and that are the best thing ever. I wouldn't put one in a crate with a pup, just in case they chew bits off of it, but under supervision... they are fabulous! Loretta

In my continuing search for a chew that would keep Jack occupied for longer than two minutes, I came across the following treats last week in, of all places, the pet section of our local Loblaws. Unlike the usual crap that Loblaws carries, these are billed as all-natural with no preservatives, etc. caledonfarms.net/I've now tried both the liver strips and the sweet potato rawhide. When stuffed into his Kong Genius Mike, the liver strips work fine, but it is the sweet potato rawhide that really hit the jackpot. They're perfect for squeezing into his Orbee Orbo (I cut the longer strips in half so that they fit). The sweet potato strips are somewhat flexible so that they don't crumble when I'm stuffing them in, and they don't break and fall out as easily when he tosses the toy around (his preferred method of getting at the treats inside). So they provide much more of a challenge, and he actually has to chew at the Orbo to get them out. This was an interesting test of Jack's frustration level. He was so used to getting at treats almost instantly that he was taken aback when his usual method didn't work, and of course, he tried being absolutely pathetic and whining at me to help him. But he looooves the sweet potato, so he was highly motivated to solve the problem for himself. Which he did.

LOL Dyanne... Jack has way more patience than Diamond or Magnum would. Diamond had one of those treat balls...HAD being the operative word. I used to put all kinds of things in it... she would roll it and throw it and drop it down the stairs... and then one day it was just like a lightbulb went off for her... why screw around trying to make the treats come out the little hole? Let's just make a bigger hole and open it right up.... much simpler.
Magnum being the older, wiser, and dignified of the two... if he can't make it happen within the first minute, it's really not that important, and he walks away. He's apathetic at best... If it takes too much effort, we're moving on.

If it takes too much effort, we're moving on. The story about Diamond cracked me up. Smart girl. And yes, I'm about to order Jack's third Kong Genius Mike and his second Orbee Orbo. Have I mentioned his total lack of regard for the family budget? I keep trying to explain to him that we aren't made of money and that if he continues to wreck his toys . . . but the little brat knows he's got us. We'll do anything for a bit of peace and quiet while watching TV. Can't wait till he gets more like Magnum.
