Dante & Kazi slept most of the ride home....and even we wanted to catch a few zzzzzzz's. Whew, that was a long afternoon. Thank goodness we have the dog social this Sunday as Kazi and I have more work to do to get ready for level 2.

LOL slept? more like a coma from the time we left your driveway until this morning... I had to wake her up this morning to go for a walk and eat something. I guess we don't need to go hiking today on the trails she is exhausted! Barb, Kazi looks like she has improved a bunch already. I think our girls did really well for their first day of school. Excited to do more... ps. can you bring the books next weekend with you so I can order a jacket? we'll try to grab Julian a vest before then and we can pass it on to you to have it embroidered if you can find out if that will be ok? thank you ;D ;D ;D ;D

oh that is tooooo funny. She looks great though, and Kerrie still comments that she would never have recognized her....she has changed so much in the last month.
We went outside last night and worked a bit on our training. She was soooooo alert as the wind was howling...we got out on the sidewalk and all I could hear was "snort, sniffle, sniffle, snort"....just like her Mama Juno....such a cutie! I still chuckle at this....

hah!! Piggie is what I call Scar... always snorting and smelling for something!
As everyone said she changed so much I compared her "ok" stacked photo from level 1 test day.... to the one I took this sunday and it is noticeable actually. I wouldn't notice seeing her everyday but looking at the photos, definitely I see it now.

Your little girl is growing up.....but she really looks awesome. I laugh at how Kerrie commented that she would have never recognized Scarlet....your little girl is almost an adult now

wow...what a day at training! I learned soooo much today 1) about my posture and how I WAS getting sloppy with it 2) so much about Kazi AND myself -- we were both mentally and physically tired out afterwards......she is still sleeping right now and hasn't awakened yet to give me a "good morning" nuzzle before I leave for work...lol. Scarlet is looking awesome, and I was very proud of her yesterday......both of our girls have grown so much since we first came to training...
A special note about Dante......Kerrie was thrilled as Dante "dropped" to the ground on command while "coming" to her. It was the first time EVER they did this as Monica gave her the instruction on how to perform this command, and he executed it perfectly. So well done to Dante....we are very proud of you!

Our girls and Dante were super stars yesterday . Dante did excellent on the drop from a distance on his first time!! and I was really proud of Scarlet not getting up from any of her down stays... she is improving tremendously on those. We have her up to about 10 mins at home on a down without her trying to escape. Julian had her down for half an hour the other day and she got up once.... He even left the room a couple times.!! Just keep at it Barb, Kazi is improving a lot too!! She is a lot of dog and has a high drive but you can do it ;D Your handling looked very good yesterday.

Thanks Andreina.....we are definately making progress.....and yes she is a wonderful dog and we are commmitted to being the best "pair" we can be. It's so funny at home, cause when I put Kazi into a down-stay, I look over at Dante, and he is already in one too----he listens to my command for her, and then does it himself.....too funny. So then I now have both of them in stays....lol

Well another week over, and we are all impressed with how well ourselves, and our dogs are progressing. Today, we all switched dogs for part of the session....Julian handled Rogun, while Kerrie, Andreina and myself switched between Dante, Scarlet and Kazi....the dogs were like..WT--- Heehee...hey Andreina...you thought you would be nervous handling Kazi, and then Monica had you handle Dante.... and you both handled it beautifully! You only have to command him verbally--he is beyond touch-control....it's good for us all to work with other dogs, and for them to work with us. Well I know we all have our work cut out for us this week again...but I am so proud to see the progress that all of us have made .... Congrats to us all!
