Awwww.... Juno looks good. Nice to know she got 7 healthy puppies.
Where blues come from? All dogs in pedigrees are black are not they?

We can't wait to see the puppies either. I believe Monica said the "blue gene" goes back, way back, in the sire's lineage. I was able to speak to her last night, although briefly ( she was busy...lol ), and all the pups and Mama are doing really well.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of them as they grow so fast.

Juno is a great mom... and she procudes healthy puppies It will be interesting to watch Asha's blue cousins growing... I hope their owners will join the forum. Hi Lisa, In fact I think you will be hearing from the owners of the blue pups for sure. As for where the dilution (blue) gene comes in. Syd's father carries all 4 colours (black/blue/red/fawn). Syd's mother was black, she only had 4 pups in her litter that were all black. It was/is my assumption that she did not carry the dilution gene, however some of her offspring would. Obviously Syd kept the dilution gene, if he carries the red gene too, then he will carry all 4 colours like his father. I cannot tell this from the breeding with Juno because Juno is a dominant black... making it impossible for her to make fawn pups. So now we need 2 dilution carries to make these blue pups. Its easy to know where it comes from with Syd's side, but what about Juno? Although its not impossible that it could be behind Argus, I highly doubt that since he's been bred to other females that had a very probable risk of being dilution carriers. So it must be coming in from Phoenix's side. This means that anyone born from Phoenix or Juno could carry the dilution gene. Dante could carry all 4 colours girls. Im excited for more photos too... Monica update us on the litter when you are on next ;D ;D They're coming. Maybe tonight even!

Welcome Julian I enlarged the photo you took of your little boy, and his eyes are still closed.....AWE..... We can't wait to see the little puppies grow up...save all of the pictures that Monica sends you...you will be amazed at how fast they grow! We have a Juno girl from the N-litter, her last litter, and Juno is an excellent Mommy to her puppies. They are strong pups, that's for sure! Please enjoy the forum....it is a great opportunity to meet your dogs other littermates and their adoptive owners...to share stories with them, and to track your dogs growth with them. As well, there are current owners who will share their experience with you as well. Post away, and let the "new" chapter of your life begin....Barbara

Welcome Julian.. Looking forward to hearing stories and seeing photos of your puppy!! Enjoy this process as it is fun and exciting... and yes save the emails you will look back and think "where did my little puppy go!" one day. Juno puppies are sweet hearts... who snort like piggies and give lots of kisses ... oh and their nubs wag a million miles a second when they get excited! They rock!
