Hi Everyone, I am looking for boarding options and recommendations in and around the GTA. Ideally someone that doesn't overcrowd their place, is able to walk the dog, follow your feeding guidelines, spend 1:1 quality time playing, follow discipline guidelines etc.
In a nutshell, I'm looking for an experienced handler that you would trust with your precious dobe.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Reyna goes to Metro Dogstop for daycare and has boarded there also. She has been going to this daycare since we moved to the area when she was about 4 months old. It is a quiet, controlled daycare... not a giant room with 50 dogs LOL. The owner is Caley. www.metrodogstop.com/ If you call them, please tell them you are a referral from Joanne & Reyna. They won't take intact dogs, so I don't know if this works for you or not? Do you have a male or female? Also, Lindsay at The Hydrant has a neutered male dobe who is the mildest mannered boy I have ever seen LOL... she does boarding and daycare also. Reyna has not gone there, but I know Lindsay and she is very trustworthy and loving thehydrantcollars.com/. The only reason Reyna does not go there is because Metro is so closeby (...and they love Reyna like she is there own girl). Good luck with your search, hope this helps! Cheers! Jo

Try Parker Pet Care. They have two locations - one in North York and one in Scarb. I go to the one in Scarb and they are amazing. A friend of mine used to work there hence why I was comfortable in letting Diesel stay there. Their prices are reasonable and they really tire out Diesel lol. Check them out.

They do accept intact dogs except they are not allowed in the group play.

Yes, this is a good suggestion. We visited Parker a couple of years ago when we were going away for a couple of weeks. Decided against leaving Jack there because we found a place (unfortunately, well out of town) with a 10-acre fenced-in field, where he was taken for twice-a-day runs. For Jack's needs at the time (he was extremely active and needed A LOT of exercise), we felt that this was preferable, especially because of the length of our trip. But for shorter trips, we definitely wouldn't have hesitated to leave him with Parker's -- and now that he has settled down somewhat, their proximity might even make them our first choice. I also know another Dobe owner who travels a lot and regularly kennels his boy at Parker's. He's very happy with them.

Nope. Never heard of that one.
@ Parkers...they have cuddle/tuck in time lol ;D You can view their facility which is nice and they also offer a free day care trail and they'll give you an assessment at the end of the day so you'll get an idea on your dog's reaction to day care.
