Rats! I wanted to vote for Tyrion but I don't "do" Facebook, Twitter, etc. and couldn't see a way to vote without going through one of those sites.

No problem, I think you can vote but it would mean setting up a profile on the site--doesn't take long. thanks! Maybe Jack's bday photo would do well under "pets with personality".

Yesterday marked one year since Tyrion came home with me.
When I first got him, he would wait by the front door any time I went out. Coming home, I'd find the door mat scrunched up behind the door and it would take me ten minutes to get it straightened out. But more recently, he would wait on my end of the couch--a big improvement. And he wouldn't be desperate for me to return, for a change.
But in the spring when I needed to find some summer footwear before going shopping I came across the old collar he had when I brought him home. Stupidly, I let him sniff it. This resulted in a return of his separation anxiety, and I came home to the mangled doormat and an anxious Dobe.
He's a lot calmer now, knowing that he'll get his needed exercise every day. But despite knowing he's better off now, he'll never get over losing the people who raised him. So my neighbours, with their toy dogs that don't get trained or walked, who think they want a Doberman next time--no way.

LOL. I was out this morning, and when I arrived home, Jack was sleeping in his crate, with the door open, and he didn't even bother getting up to come and say hello. When I went to look for him, he did deign to lift his head and glance at me quickly. But he apparently decided that continuing his nap was more important than acknowledging my presence.
This isn't unusual. Other times, though, we are greeted at the door by a smiling, prancing, wriggling mass of black and rust fur. It just depends on his mood, I think.
I guess today is a birthday of sorts for Tyrion. Have a great day, handsome guy.

And I voted, too. I see that one can vote once a day, so I'll go back in and do it again tomorrow. Good luck, Tyrion.

Thanks so much--I was sure Tyrion had some friends on the forum.
Don't go to a lot of trouble, though, Dyanne. It's really just for fun. I have a dozen images submitted, and two of them are of Tyrion.
