She still sleeps a lot. When she is awake she requires your attention and needs a lot of mental stimulation.
We taught her to sit and stay within the first 4 days of being home, I can now tell her to sit and cross the room and she will not move until told to come(unless there is a distraction).
When we let her out of the crate I have her sit and not come busting out of the crate and is doing real well with that.
As far as her potty training goes we are doing well, I say this because at the beginning its all us with the routine of taking her out, not letting her go to far from our reach and praising her for outside potty's. She really has made very few mistakes inside and if she does it is usually a tinkle as we catch her as soon as she squats, then she finishes outside.
She is pretty calm as far as a pup goes, rarely ever bits your hand and never bits feet. She loves to sit and look at you as if (ok I am waiting for some stimulation). If you throw a ball or toy she grabs it chews for a second then drops it then looks at you,( like that's not enough).
I am real exited to put her in obedience classes when she is ready with her vaccinations.
We love her and think she was a perfect fit for our family.

That's awesome to hear. Ah yes...the potty training. lol. Phew, so glad when it's over, but then is it ever really over? LOL. That's great how you do the crate exiting...making her sit and wait calmly, then open the door. That's excellent...Charlie is a smart cookie herself so it's obvious she's got her Mama's brains. Puppies..they play hard and then they just "drop". They are so cute!
Keep taking lots of pictures .. it's so amazing to look back and watch her growth periods. Keep us posted, and pictures if you can please.

She is very cute indeed....keep up with the ears and remember it can be a 2-6+ month process as it just depends on your dog.

Yup, we only have her ears down for the time it takes to re-tape and are fully prepared for the long process.

Here is some more current pictures from tonight's re-posting, she is looking great. From the 1st posting her ears were standing, is this normal?
How do you know when you can remove posting's, should you remove and see if they continue to stand and then re-post if they fall or just suck it up and continue to post? We have been posting for 3 weeks this weekend and not to say she is ready but it's more just my curiosity.

Her ears look great. And she is sooooo cute! As I recall, we reposted about every five days, unless the posts got wet. Then we would repost sooner. The first time we took the posts out, yes, Jack's ears stayed up for a couple of hours, perhaps longer. Each time, we would leave the posts out until his ears started to flop, even the tiniest bit. Then it was repost right away. We continued posting until after he was finished teething, so he would have been between five and six moths old when we stopped. Each time we took the posts out, we found that his ears would stay pricked a little longer. Looks as if you're doing a great job.

Great advice Dyanne. I also remember that Kerrie would massage the ears when the posts came off also. Let the muscles work on their own when the posts are off though, and like Dyanne said, and you hinted at, when you see them start to fall...repost. You will post for about 5 days, then remove them and watch again. Just be patient as it is a long and tedious process, but one that is worth it ( you will see your efforts for the duration of the dogs life so stick with it ).

We need more puppy pictures.....how are the little babies doing? For sure we won't recognize them anymore as they're getting so big. Just want to say hi and see how things are doing....

Well you asked for it, here is more pictures I take her everywhere, she comes to work with me every day. I don't think there is a place she has not traveled with me yet. Pepper is extremely calm and very intelligent, I introduce her to everybody and make sure she is polite and calm. We play hide and seek all the time and she loves it. I never though I could love a dog so much. Ron

She is stunning. That's awesome that you get to take her everywhere. Great socialization for her while she's growing up.
