Likely Dante has more sensitive digestive system. You may want to avoid fatty meat. I make kefir and give my dogs 2-3 tbs with each meal. Cooked chicken and rice are the best food for dogs with upset stomach. I guess you know it...

Well Kazi met a new dog today...a lab named George. Apparently she met him and her hackles went up, she was barking....but he eventually "won" her over, and they became friends and played. She is such a goof! So, another boy dog to add to her "black book".

Warm day in Grand Bend today and the heat seemed to "wear down" the dogs...but Kazi still wanted to hang outside as much as she could. As for Dante, it depended on where Kerrie was...if she was inside, he was inside...if she was outside in the gardens, he was outside. What a loving dog! LOL

Goodness our girls are "twins" indeed! I recognized Asha instantly...why? Because she has the same drive that Kazi. She is the first in the water to retrieve the stick...she brings it back and as soon as she realizes your husband is throwing another one, she instantly drops the first one and is in the water going after the second stick leaving Gino "standing still". I see this in Kazi everyday. She is ball driven, or whatever the "toy of the day" is. We can be playing with Kazi, and if you introduce a second exact toy, she drops the first ( as if it never existed ) and goes after the second one. Haha..and if Dante is playing with us, she has been known to run up and steal his ball and run away, ending the game we are playing with Dante. She is so selfish! Our girl plays hard, yet is growing into a very cuddly, sweet girl--still! She loves her cuddle-time, loves her brother Dante, loves spending time outside, loves her Mommy.....loves attention. If you are outside with the dogs, then she wants to you to spend time with HER. I love this dog!

Asha and Gino met adorable Daisy (Paul's new puppy). Here is the story. Daisy was not sure at the beginning...that black dog looks like her mom but not exactly....hmmmm... IN a few minutes Daisy was in her element. A little firecraker made my dogs to chase her. Then she decided to take Asha's ball. My girl was not amused LOL This little girl Daisy knows what she wants... she did not stop trying to get a ball... ...and finally she got it! Besides taking a ball from Asha Daisy was flirting with Gino! A little star Daisy made Gino dance LOL Even though Daisy was flirting with Gino it did not upset Asha... she likes a little firecraker. She taught Daisy some bad things too... checking a bag for treats. Daisy was playing non-stop... puppy energy.. I have already forgot what it is... now I have a puppy fever! How can you resist this beauty? We all had a wonderful time

Great pictures Lisa. You can sure tell Daisy is a little "firecracker" as you so aptly put it. Even in her earlier puppy photos she displays a certain attitude.
So nice that your two got along so well with her. They are going to have such fun this summer!

As always some great pictures Lisa! Gino and Asha looked like they were wondering where does this puppy get all the energy from...so nice for them to have another dobe close by. Do we know yet if Daisy has the Doberbeaver gene? Martin

Nice to see you Martin We will test her Doberbeaver gene for sure! Asha swam after Gino when she was 4 months old...Daisy is almost there.

I'll be taking Daisy to a place on the river where I used to Daisy so we'll see if she likes the water. If the garden hose is any indication I think she does. We'll be going out to Lower Lakes to camp in the next couple of weeks as well.

Well Happy Canada Day.....Kazi decided to have a morning "run" before breakfast, and she didn't tell me her plans first! She was out doing her business and started to bark as she spotted some sort of wildlife....so I put her on the top deck and was just about to head inside when she gave out another bark, and then suddenly all I saw was the back end of her leaping over the railing...OMG. ( and she has a hard time jumping up on the bed ) ---- HAH! She certainly fooled me. She came back to Kerrie a couple of minutes later ( very, very, very long minutes ) panting happily though and empty-mouthed. What a girl! Needless to say she was in boot-camp for the rest of the day, and I have brought Dante home with me so that Kerrie and Kazi came have some one-on-one time together, and Dante and I can do the same.
Later this afternoon we laughed about the run as she was sleeping on her bed on the deck...well we stacked 2 beds together and covered them in a thick blanket and she was rolling over and rolled 'OFF' the beds...lol. Poor girl....what a day she had...got up, did her business, went for a run, had breakfast, did some training, had a nap, woke up to kisses, another walk, a bit more drill, nap....and never got into trouble once! And you may think--never got into trouble? Nope...you can't give her "shit" for coming back when called. That was my lesson for the day----it's an old lesson that I forgot, but leave it to Kazi to constantly remind me of obedience class lessons!

And now the work begins as Kazi tried again yesterday to "clear the railing". We are going to have to come up with an idea to teach her not to do that, extend the railing higher..but something. Any ideas???

What a character!! But I don't understand - did she actually get out of the yard at home or was this up at The Bend? They constantly surprise you don't they.
