Thanks....we are really looking forward to the move in 6 weeks.....they are going to be so surprised when we let them "see" the yard.....I'm thinking of so many possiblities for the area....it's very over-whelming with all of the ideas that can materialize in a large area. We are very excited though, and of course the miserable task of "packing" is now underway....lol....darn these dogs have accumulated a lot of stuff....8 costco dog beds, toys galore, coats for every season, weather type...booties, hoods, crates, blankets....I have come to the conclusion that they must be "hoarders"....lol.
Now we have to buy a riding lawn mower, or else it will take 2 days to cut the lawn.

It still amazes me....I started to look thru the first page of this thread, and there is Kazi and Dante lying on the driveway....Kazi's paw on Dante's shoulder....should have known from that point that she would be a dominant female...lol...
I can't believe how fast she has grown, how strong she is, and how amazing she is. Wow....what a ride!

LOL I can't stop laughing about how toy driven Kazi is.... Like yesterday in class, she spotted one little squeaker toy 6 feet off the ground and was going to do anything to have it! She is a sweet heart though.... Oh yeah and I get to look at her cute photo in the driveway for all of April in my calendar!! ;D

Thanks so much....we think so too! She had another play-date with Winston yesterday, and you should have heard her snoring afterwards....OMG it is so funny! Kerrie send over a voice-text to me at work, and we laughed when we heard her....that's my girl! I was working on my down-stays with her last night, and that little mischief-maker Dante kept laying 2 feet in front of her chewing on an elk bone. Talk about a distraction! And this was Kazi.. is Mom looking? Can I just reach out and grab it from him without her seeing me do it? Toy driven is right Andreina....I've discovered now that when they are play-fighting and I want to stop it, all I have to do is tell her to get her toy... ..hmmmm...Dante or toy-playing with Mom....Mom wins! She is SOOOO toy driven that she grabs her toy after she finds it, and we play tug together!

Well, it's been a while since we have posted on the forum...for that matter, even had internet! We took posession of our home Friday May 11, and moved the next day....whew...not for the faint of heart! But we are making great progress on settlingn in, and the dogs just LOVE the new backyard. It was fully fenced last week, finishing Thursday afternoon. Kerrie openend the back door to let them both out, and they stopped after only 20 ft.....go on then....and off they went. She said they did at least 10 laps around the yard before having to stop for a rest. lol. And since last Thursday, they are asleep from about 7-7:30pm until we wake them for their dinner, and then they are asleep again within the hour for the rest of the night....so far this morning, not one of them as even come downstairs to go outside and do their business. They are certainly very happy dogs this week! Can't say anything bad about the puppies this week...lol....they are too tired!
In the morning, Kazi can't wait to go outside and play with her balls, her stuffies ( which she has only thrown in the air---she just flings it around right now ) and run around the yard looking to see if her new friends are out...Dante will follow, but she exhausts him. So far, whenhe is tired and wants to go to bed upstairs, he starts barking at us...come on Mom, lets go to bed...I'm tired! He will go upstairs, pull down the sheets on the bed, and come back downstairs and start barking again....come one....I got the bed ready....say goodnight, and lets go! He's just like an "old man"....lol

Glad to hear that the move went smoothly and that Dante and Kazi are enjoying their new backyard. Lucky dogs!
Jack does the same thing as Dante, though he doesn't bark. When he decides it's bedtime, he stands at the bottom of the stairs and stares at us, presumably willing at least one of us to go up with him. When this doesn't happen, he heaves a big sigh, as if to say, "Well, fine. You guys had your chance to come with me; now I'm going up on my own," and off he goes.
Our previous guy did much the same thing, though he was more precise about his bedtime. We always knew when it was 9:30 p.m., because that's when Fred headed off to bed.

So today, and overnight, Dante and Kerrie are having some much appreciated one-on-one time as Kazi went to daycare overnight. Kerrie and Dante have gone to Grand Bend, and he is going to be a spoiled little boy tonight by his Mommy.
Meanwhile, Kazi was excited when she arrived at the daycare, "prancing" into the foyer as if she was saying "I'm back..where's my friends?". New for her today, she got to experience her normal play periods thru out the day, but today she got to experience their "splash pad". hahaha....can't wait to tell you how she is tomorrow when Kerrie picks her up.....

So, Kazi has had another wonderful experience at the daycare. She got to go into the splash pad both days, and apparently enjoyed it both days. It is so nice to find a centre that we can trust with our dogs.....she has come home so relaxed, yet excited and happy. We are going to try Dante there with her for a half-day, just to see how he does. We are hoping that she will calm him.
As for Dante, I can't believe how changed our little man has been over the past week...he is playing fetch with me, retrieving the ball and chasing it down, or catching it in mid-air....such an amazing feeling to have with him....our little boy is enjoying just being a dog again.
