Looks like Crawford Lake - if anyone has been there before. We've taken Lilly once ... I'll have to look it over more but looks good.

Gary, there are a couple of places where we could go for walks. One is called Snyders Flats in Bloomingdale, and it has water and paths... and most people wiill let their dogs off leash around there and let them swim.
The other, which isn't very big, but they have some nice trails, is called the Huron Natural Business Park... where they put a bunch of trails through some very nice land. It's not an off-leash area... but a lot of people take their dogs for walks there.
I was there yesterday to meet some local friends who do some training and that have a pack of their own, to try and socialize Magnum and Diamond with walking in a pack, they had invited another couple who have a Doberman... who I found out is actually Magnum's 1/2 sister. Her name is Athena and she's a 4 year old bitch from Boomer.
The walk went well until Magnum was allowed to get too close to a Beauceron in the pack, under the owner's direction, and he quickly struck and bit her in the leg like a rattlesnake... it was very discouraging... but we're going to keep working on it, and keep him on a short leash.
I can try to think of other locations near here and see what I can come up with.

Sad to say that Diesel and I won't be making an appearance on D.O.G III Since I'll be in New York the week before I had to switch a shift so I'm working on that day. Gonna miss all the fun so take pics everyone . Would've been nice to reunite Diesel with everyone especially mommy Monica...Oh well another time another place.

I was talking to Gary on the side and made a suggestion that he thought I should post up here as well. As some of you may or may not know, I'm a photographer... or at least I play one on TV... and I'm going to be attending this event on the 30th. I will be bringing a friend with me to help me handle the dogs mostly because I was planning on bringing my photography gear as well to get some shots of the event. What I was talking to Gary about was whether anyone was interested in pictures being taken while we're there, either of your furkid(s) alone or with you? I have shot sporting events, car shows, motorcycle nights, pets, weddings, etc... and have the ability to take pictures on site, process, quickly edit, and print in high quality 8.5x11 full colour prints on site. Now the hitch, it comes at a cost, as my gear, along with my printer, ink, and paper etc doesn't run cheap... but I would be willing to do a discount on the price of prints for D.O.G. members that are interested in doing this. Now keep in mind that this is all weather dependent as well... I'm probably not going to lug my gear around in the rain. Just food for thought, and feel free to post up here whether or not you would be interested in this. To give you an idea of price... at any sporting event where I take shots the price is $25-$30 per print. I could do this event for $20 per print and you'll have it on site at the end of the day. You can check out some of my work on my Facebook page "Bo Casey Photography" or my website at www.bocaseyphotography.ca The website photos are being updated, and the Facebook page has some of the most recent pet shots.

. . .What I was talking to Gary about was whether anyone was interested in pictures being taken while we're there, either of your furkid(s) alone or with you? Sounds like a great idea to me . . . as long as you can photoshop out my lines and wrinkles . . . oh, and make me look at least 10 lbs. lighter. LOL. Otherwise, a nice pic of Jack would be great.

Yup we will watch the weather but at this point this coming Sunday Oct 30th D.O.G will be at Rattlesnake Point Conservation area by Milton. www.conservationhalton.ca/ShowCategory.cfm?subCatID=1091Dog's must be leashed and it's a through the woods trail environment. We can probably get away with flexi leads once off on the trails. 11:00 AM meet ( changed back from 12 as Barb & Kerrie like earlier) 401 to Guelph Line South on Guelph Line to Derry road Left on Derry and the road into the park is up a min on the left. Post up who is planning to come and your dog(s)

We are planning to attend with Dante and Kazi. I like the idea of the photos .... I guess we can only wait to see how the day actually turns out---rain or no rain. But we will be there with our dogs. Looking forward to seeing all....

Zeus and I will be there. Joanne stopped by and we chatted and think a 12:00 noon start would be better. That will make it much better for Barb and Kerrie with the longer drive. I changed my other post above to 12:00 noon for the time.
