Hey Everyone, I think the preliminary plans Joanne posted work perfect IMO. They are cut and pasted below with minimal change. I hope to meet Joanne tomorrow and do the walk and check time etc. Woofstock - Direct Energy Centre Toronto winterwoofstock.com/ Day - Saturday Nov 19th Time - 11:00 AMTickets from the link and save $2 or get at the door. Preliminary AgendaMeet at main front entrance to the show in the center of the building, parking is right across the street open area or you can drive to the east side of the building and take underground parking and come up inside by the main doors into the show area. Walk the show until about 12:45pm, drop loot in cars, get warmer clothing as needed and then walk to Harbourfront to go to Pawsway (http://www.pawsway.ca)! There is a DOG FRIENDLY Timothy's Coffee Shop INSIDE where we can have a coffee and/or sandwich/snack... Back at cars around 3:15pm ish and those that want to go back into the show can do so. If it's REALLY windy, we can do an alternative walk through King West and not along Lakeshore. Bring warm dog coats and walking gear for yourself just in case. Woofstock is indoors, and just packed with dogs. Lots of fun! Lots of free stuff and good prices on treats/leashes/COLLARS/etc... Bring cash! D.O.G 4th Meeting is a go rain/shine/snow as the show is indoors. If it's raining and you don't want to walk outside for a little more $$ choose the underground parking East side of Direct Energy Center and stay dry. If it's raining too much to walk outside then we will just tour the show and not do the outside walk. AttendingGary & Zeus ( maybe Chris) Joanne & Reyna Andrenia, Julian & Scarlet Lana & Diesel Carolyne & Ronin Eric and Isys ( what about Steve and Ronin?) Send Their Regrets Kerrie & Dante Barb & Kazi Dyanne & Jack Jie, Nicole & Presto Anyone else planning to attend?

I'm tossing around the idea of attending this, but not sure how Magnum would do indoors in tight spaces with so many other dogs walking around. It is a dilemma for sure. Will think more about this during the week ahead.

I just realized that the week-end of Woofstock conflicts with the UKC show that I will be attending F/S/S. I`m so sorry guys, but only 2 UKC shows a year and I have some dogs I need to bring along.
Have fun, take lots of pics, and I will hopefully see you at the next DOG meet.

Hopefully the show goes well for you Monica. I've always meant to ask how come there are only 2 UKC shows in Ontario? It's the same club from memory, but why don't more clubs look at UKC shows? I know the CKC is considererd the A team and the CKC supporting clubs probably think the UKC is like the B team but even if that was the case there should still be more support of the UKC for shows around here IMO. There are CKC shows every weekend and many multiple places the same weekends.

Hey everyone Joanne, Reyna, Zeus and I did 4th meet walk today from Direct Energy Center to Pawsway and around that area and then back to check distance and time to do the walk. There are a couple routes and we changed it up a little on the return. What an awesome area and walk route! Some is through parks along the waterfront, you see the boats docked etc. Nice wide walks and we can change up the route a little so it's different up and back. It's a good distance about 35-40 min one way but we were chatting and the dogs were so happy walking side by side! What a lovely couple Reyna and Zeus are becoming City of Toronto put up a new offleash park right along the water. HUGE area, nice trees, all grass etc, it's the nicest offleash I've seen, makes High Park offleash look like a garbage dump . Today there was only a couple dogs ( probably will be busy next weekend) and Joanne took Reyna in and she kept running back to Zeus wondering why he ws outside watching and not inside wither her I'm not a fan of offleash and never frequent them but being neutered now and virtullay no dogs it was a great opportunity for the new improved Zeus to play with Reyna offleash and in we went. Zeus and Reyna had a blast together, they play so nice and happy as a couple! It will be an optional stop as we walk right past it if anyone cares to go offleash next weekend, but I suspect with Winter Woofstock so close that offleash will be way busier than it was today. Next we continued to Pawsway, if you have never been it's a special building dedicated to dogs, Williams Coffee Pub inside both dog friendly and cool to see. We walked around the waterfront a little looking at the boats and the cool stuff in the area and then back to where we parked by Direct Energy. IMO the area and the walk to Pawsway and back was just so enjoyable and it's an opportunity for a great D.O.G event itself, throw in Woofstock and it's going to be really a good time. Hopefully the weather next Saturday is like today as no dog coats and really I didn't need the coat I was wearing either. I posted up some pictures from today so you can see the lovebirds in the dog park under Pictures and Videos. Thanks for the details Joanne and Gary. Michael will be joining us too. Ian, I'm also wondering how our Ronin will do in the tight quarters, but I guess we will wait and see . The walk with the pack I'm not worried about Gary & Joanne the pictures are great!

Carolyne your Ronin was the best behaved dog at D.O.G 2nd event right in the thick of the pack and sidewalks of Bloor West. If we had an award for "Best Behaved Male" he would have got it! I'll bet he will be ok, but I understand he's your boy and you worry about him. I know the feeling more than you know On another note....Your Ronin and how he was at D.O.G. 2nd event was big help to us. I want to thank you for coming out that day. Ronin was calm and content and not like all the intact males, Zeus included, slobbering and drooling, and all with one track male minds around females or up for the challenge if one of the other intact boys gave stink eye Now Zeus is streamlined like your Ronin....nothing catching the breeze between his hind legs he's a better dog for sure 2 months after. We should have done it long ago.

Thank you Gary for your continued support and kind words. Yes I do worry about my boy He can be protective of his Mom in unfamiliar territory or he can go the opposite way and hide behind Mom too Glad to hear Zeus has adjusted to his "new" life After seeing the pictures from yesterday's "date" I don't think Reyna is too upset

Joanne and I were laughing watching how they interact. Like a happy married couple content in their relationship. They both got out the vehicles when we arrived they are happy and content but not going nuts, It's like hey Reyna, hey Zeus, both all happy, how you doin, what's new, glad we are together again, better pee, maybe sniff a little together and take a dump and then they are both ready to go happy and excited but they walk down the street beside eah other like a beautiful pair, no ripping or nipping jumping on each other or tearing at each other, both so happy to be together. Taking the time and watching their interaction is really very interesting.

Gary, Zeus, Reyna and I had such a great time yesterday! Gary described it perfectly The walk is really really nice, lots to look at, very spacious and pretty. There is a path, but of course you can walk along the grass too! Reyna and Zeus had a great 'date' LOL... AND as a bonus they got to romp around in their very own private off-leash park haha! Reyna was begging Gary to let Zeus come play and giving him her sweetest puppy-eyes, and since there were only 2 other (little/docile) dogs in the park... Zeus was let freeeeeeeeeee!!! They had a great time sniffing the leaves and running around together, it was super cute. They also got lots of looks and comments on their matching bandanas! We had a really great time, and Reyna was zonked after. I guarantee pooped out doggies after a day at Woofstock and the walk!!

RE WOOFSTOCK: It is taking place in halls C/D of the Direct Energy Center. Hall C/D are at the far EAST end of the building. I think it will be best to meet outside the building, just WEST of the C/D entrance.
Wear your bandanas from DOG3 and I will bring the extras for Diesel, Ronin, Isys, and whomever else needs one.
