Awwwww, Scarlet. Jack commiserates . . . and says he knows that you'll ace it next time. You're still a little girl!
And congratulations to Reyna and Kazi.

Well done Scarlet....and well done to Kazi (again her handler made several errors which reflected on both of them getting a lower mark--she does know what to do better than I do!). You should have stayed and watched Dante's training.....everything that he did in level 2 was off leash.....YIKES.... I haven't seen Kerrie and Dante training since he was in level 1, so it was a BIG surprise for me to see him. I am very proud of both of them on the progress that they have made together.....and Kazi and I (okay, just me) are trying to figure out how we are going to get to that level..lol.. Enjoy your 2 weeks off, because when we meet again.....it's level 2, and the bar has been raised.

I could go over a million times in my head my handler errors made yesterday but..... I had better practice instead and focus on moving on and improving! I know we just need to become more confident in our handling and things will flow like Kerrie said. It is certainly nerve-racking doing that darn test though lol. off-leash...eeeek. I am sure we will get there it takes time! At the beginning of level one I thought there is no way I am getting Scarlet to do a 3 min stay and a stand for exam!! But we did it... and I know we will all do great in level 2 as well!

Yay, Scarlet. Way to go.
You might be surprised to find that Scarlet does quite well off-leash. Some (many?) dogs do better off-leash than on- . . . perhaps because they aren't feeling weird handler signals coming down the lead. I dunno.

Well no doubt that Kazi could do better without me putting the wrong signals "thru the leash"....well as long as there's no toys on the floor ;D ;D I kept replaying the test in my head on the way home, and if only she didn't come out of her sit....82.....and if she did this.....88.....and so on, and so on, and so on........ We still have so much more ahead of us.....I'm personally glad how well Kazi and I did....and I believe it was a true mark of our abilities as a team. We are, unfortunately, not 100% on the same page all the time and that is why our marks will always fluctuate. If we have a good day, our marks are higher, and subsequently lower on a bad day. So.....more training so that we are more consistent with eachother. No more good days/bad days.....just more consistent days! Practice, practice, practice......

OH.....and why did she come out of her sit.......I saw her twitch, or something, and I pulled the leash.,........HANDLER ERROR!!
I just wanted to clarify my above statement.....Kazi knew what she was doing......as for me.......
