I was very upset to discover the sport was not for us. It seems Sch clubs in our area have very strict rules about dogs. I was told to change our lifestyle... Asha should not be free in the house. She should be crated when she doesn't work. No games with Gino??? I didn't tell them I love her being in my bed! Schutzhund is nice and dynamic sport and Asha loves it but clubs in our area are focused on titles only and restrict dogs from normal doggy life. Agility is on our list to do...I will take a few private lessons to see if Asha enjoys it. Happiest dogs I have ever seen are those playing in the off-leash dog park! I sound like PETA person ...but that's so much true.

what the heck??? Never heard of that..
How many clubs did you visit? Is there more than one in your area you can check out? Why would they want you to have her in the crate all the time.
Good luck finding something she will enjoy!

It would be hard for me to look into Kazi's chocolate brown eyes thru a crate, and have to keep her there.....and Dante would be upset too. Nobody to chew on his leg, or neck!
Good luck with agility.....

I never heard of that either. It was shocking news for me. I hope Dyanne will chime in...
I visited two clubs. GSD is better one. They don't mind us to come and work but I have to change lifestyle. No hiking? No playing silly games? No doggy playdates?
Somebody told me I should not have treated my dogs like humans.... why not? They are happy dogs.
