Enzo's ears seem to be coming along beautifully. He is a very handsome little guy.

I cant go anywhere with him or show him to anyone without them saying they are going to take him. He loves the attention and eats it up

That was the first thing that drew me to picking him As soon as you look at him and he looks straight back at him, you cant help but to fall in love all over again. I know if im in a bad mood, all I have to do is look at him and my mood does a complete 180.

Gosh TJ you'd better be careful in a stiff wind. . . with those ears of his, your beautiful boy just might take flight...LOL. What a cutie.

The only stiff wind I have to worry about is the stiff wind coming from his behind....
He doesn't hide his flatulence at all lol.

So I have some praise to show... This past weekend I was at my brothers house for the Thanksgiving long weekend. The last time we seen them was the same weekend we got Enzo. He has twins of 3 years of age (recently turned 3). Anyways the kids had a bad experience with a neighbors dog when he jumped up on them and knocked them over. So they were afraid of Enzo when he came the first time and at the beginning of the weekend. As time went on the kids kinda warmed up to him with some help from us and their parents (getting them to touch Enzo and pet him, eventually moving into a hug and a kiss). By the middle of the weekend we went from the kids crying the moment Enzo looked at them to the kids wrestling around (Which we didnt allow to continue), but my point is the fact that once the kids warmed up to him they practically tortured him and he did not react with any aggression at all! He is still mouthing a little bit but not as bad as when we first got him. We are still working on the mouthing but we were extremely impressed with him and how once he got used to the kids and they got use to him. They are the youngest and smallest people that he has been around in the kids department and as mentioned we feel that he did a A++++++ job with the children. Once they got use to him all we heard from my sister in law was "Babe, awwww we need to get a dog.... Just look at them cuddling him and playing..." Here he is with the kids cuddling with him. As for his ears they are coming along nicely, I dont like the weakness of this duct tape that is on him at the moment and we are going to change it tonight, because as he lies down it squats in the middle and as you can see from the pic his ears are pointing towards each other.

Hey TJ . . . what a beautiful picture. Speaks volumes to how good Dobes can be with kids. The little ones are clearly at ease with him and Enzo obviously couldn't be happier snuggling with his "peeps" on the sofa. Excellent socialization for Enzo.
By the way . . . once your Boy is used to "hanging" beside you on the couch you will never get him off...lol. Biggest lap dogs in the world. I had family over this weekend including my 13 yr old niece. Quin couldn't get enough of her. Every time she sat down he was right there beside her with his "what? She said I could sit here" look on his face.

He was tuckered out. It was the most tired I have ever seen him. We went all day in the yard, in the park, for a few walks and then running around the house. He was tired for the rest of the evening and it even spilled out into the next day until about noon! Far from his normal up at 7:00 ready to go attitude

Hi TJ
It's a thought, but we also suggest taking the dogs to a children's park, to football games, soccer games, skating parks, ski areas.....basically anywhere there are a lot of kids yelling, screaming. It helps for them as puppies to get accustomed to the sounds of kids.

Enzo looks like such a gentle soul! His ears looks great! Kallie is doing well - lots of energy and so incredibly smart. There are days I look at her in the morning and swear she grew overnight. She's healthy and happy but has quite a bit of gas so we're trying different food One ear stands better than the other but the posts should be able to come off real soon.

Just a update. Enzo is doing fantastic. I will try and get more pics this weekend, we have him in a basic obedience training class now. The first meeting was last night which was just for the both of us. But according to what the other people say why they want their dogs to complete basic obedience. From what I have seen of Enzo, he should have no issues completing and competing for top ranks in the class.
