Hi everybody. I thought I'd start the thread on the Y litter and introduce myself at the same time. I have a reservation on the Z litter (Cajun x Duke) but might have an option to get a female from this litter. I'm still undecided on which way I'll go if I have to choose. I have been doberless since Sept 2012. I owned Lisa's Gino's litter mate and brother Dillon. Unfortunately he was born with a heart defect and I had to say goodbye to him at the young age of 3.5 I look forward to seeing pictures of this litter in a week or so. Cheers, Paul

Welcome to the forum Paul.. I'm sorry to hear about Dillon.. The Y & Z litters both look great! But I mean, I am biased towards Cajun's pups haha.. But no, Charlie is an absolute sweetheart and don't get me started on Apollo. A few people on the forum have Apollo babies so they may also share their stories about their pups!

Hi everyone my name is Ron and my wife is Kim
Our family has had a reservation for this litter for sometime now. We are extremely exited and probably drive Monica a little crazy with questions, but this is my 1st large breed and just want to make sure I do it right. We have been wanting to get a Doberman for many years and the timing could not be any better.
It has been a rough year for our family with the loss of our dog Poncho around 5 months ago and the recent loss of my father only 2 months ago, this dog will be loved and perhaps fill a gap in our lives with our recent losses.
We have been thinking of many names but the one that just popped into my head the other day and we all love is "Pepper"
Can't wait to see pictures of the pups and have a little girl running around.
Ron

It will tough to decide if I get a choice, I've heard good things about the parents of both litters. But I'm leaning a bit more towards waiting for the Z litter as it works a bit better for me timing wise.

My heart aches when I see Dillon pictures. He was such a great boy! No matter what litter you choose Paul I know your pup will be very loved and well cared off. I am so excited Gino and Asha will have a new playmate. Ron and Kim you made a right choice to get a Dobereich puppy... 10 more weeks... 70 days... 70 nights...and you will know why

Welcome to the forum Paul. Both of these upcoming litters have great parents so whichever one you choose you will get a super puppy. Ron and Kim, I second Lisa's comment. I had wanted a Doberman for years also and am so glad I was recommended to Monica by a friend. You will have lots of support from her and all the other experienced owners on this forum. Pepper sounds like an excellent name for your puppy.

As Susan already stated, whatever litter you get a puppy from you will have made the right decision..I am very well acquainted with all the parents of both litters...Cajun is a beautiful female who has a very calm and sweet temperament ( except for the stories from Andreina she has been learning some bad habits lately form her new sister Scarlet) and daddy Duke is one of the most handsome Dobereich males ( aside from my boy Dante of course).. Then we come to Apollo who is adored by many fellow Dobereich owners because of his amazing charm and even temperament...and I now have to speak of my little Charlie girl ( I try not to pick favourites but we kind of chose each other along the way for a very special bond) I have done some training with Charlie and from the first day it was apparent that she was a very smart girl who LOVED to work for my praise ( except maybe when she was first learning a down and I had to kneel next to her...she couldn't help but want to kiss me) ( I personally didn't have a problem with that but Monica did...lol) But..again, as I first said you can't go wrong with either litter. Im just glad I'm not having to make the decision because it wouldn't be easy... Good Luck to you all and I look forward to you being a part of our special Dobereich family and sharing all your experiences with us... Kerrie Here are a few pictures of me and Charlie

Oh gosh.. Don't get Kerrie started on her Charlie girl haha.. I remember when I would watch you guys do the level 1, Charlie only wanted to work for you. I took her leash one time and she was like ummmm who the hell are u!! hah.

Charlie sounds like my Asha... she works only for me. I guess some dogs are totally devoted to one person whom they obey completely. Does it come from Rogun or that's a special female touch?

Hmmm, good question Lisa... Scarlet tends to obey Julian and Cajun prefers to listen to me lol. Might be a girl thing? or doberman thing? Not sure

Just smiling to myself reading the descriptions of the dogs. Yes it is very apparent that our dogs ARE our lives. LOL. As each litter has been born we all enjoy watching the dreams and wishes come true for all of the adoptive families. Please post your pictures of your little puppy as he/she changes your lives forever. All I could do is repeat what everyone else has said here...so Welcome to the Dobereich family.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss Paul, but I am excited for your decision to get a Dobereich puppy, and no....there is only ONE Asha so you are safe. LOL. We have her "twin" sister Kazi, short for Kamakazi some days. They are very spirited girls as I'm sure you know already.
Charlie and Kerrie have a special bond that is hard to describe. The previous pictures that she posted were taken at a show where Charlie was showing in the ring, and Kerrie just sat in the chair w/o Charlie being aware of her presence. Charlie got close to her, and then her nose went into the air---she sniffed and sniffed and looked around and sniffed some more, and then she found Kerrie. OMG she was so happy to see Kerrie, as captured by the pictures.

Hi Paul and Ron. Congrats on the soon arrival of your new additions Like you guys, I'm new to the Dobereich family. I just got my baby boy Zeke from the X-Litter (Apollo + Nike). He is the sweetest boy I have ever met. I have never had a large breed dog before and let me tell you, I couldn't be happier with him. He's been with us for about three weeks now and we wouldn't have it any other way! Monica is absolutely amazing and everyone here on the forum/facebook group are awesome too. Everyone is so helpful and supportive, you'll feel right at home! Keep us posted with updates/pics. - Sam
