Just few words in a rush during lunchtime It's quite difficult for me to add something after Monica's comment witch was a superb summary of the day we spent together. It looks like we're a bit silly because we spent all weekend driving down the road to meet people we didn't know and their dogs... Well it's not the case. First, we knew many of you trough the forum and some other by the Facebook page. We were stunt by the amount of generosity we found in all of you, from you Monica, for bringing Papa to the event, to Gary who planed and prepared everything and that includes every one of you for attending the meeting and being so patient with french people trying to mimic some english words to make themselves understandable We even heard some french from Eric We also didn't want to miss a once in a lifetime event for us : walking in a park with more then 10 Dobermans without having that park evacuated. Don't laugh too much ! Here in QC, people don't react to Dobs as they do elsewhere... They are still considered as machiavelics monsters by many people... Finally I must say that this event did worth every kilometers we traveled. We had a great time with our dog at a majestic place with priceless people. We were touched to see that all owners had that privileged relationship we're having with our dog. We were also amazed with the physical look alike of all the dogs, including Auguste and that proved that he's in fact a member that great family. This will an unforgettable moment for us, even if we plan to assist to other meets Merci à tous pour ce moment très spécial !

Hello everyone I would like to thank everyone who attended the D.O.G. it was an absolute pleasure to meet all of you and your beautiful fur kids. I would like to give a special thanks to Gary for not only arranging and organizing this great event, but more for informing me about it I'm very glad i ran into you at Cayuga that day Gary or i would have missed out on a great D.O.G.event and i look forward to many more i hope. I did bring my camera and was looking forward to taking many photos but i was so caught up in all the excitement of seeing so many Dobereich dogs in the same place all at the same time that i forgot to snap more photos sorry. But i did manage to snap a couple and thanks Ian for snapping the group shot even though you didn't want to touch my Nikon lol... ;D now you have Nikon cooties I'm looking forward to seeing the photos you took Ian please don't forget to share when your all caught up on your sleep. Hope everyone has a great Halloween. Cheers Couple shots of Ace. Isys refusing to look at the camera lol.. Nice scenery Group shot.

Stefan and Mireille you are members of the group for sure and I'm happy that we made your long distance travel and efforts to attend worthwhile. We all share a special bond through our dogs. Lisa ?? Hello Lisa the gauntlet is laid by Stefan and Mireille . Start working on Air Miles collecting and let us know when you have enough to make it to a D.O.G event here. We will have to make that a special one and have Stefan come and present you the "Long Distance Award" Mario I'm so happy you came, we got to talk dobermans and race cars together!! What an awesome day ;D and great to have a fellow motorhead in D.O.G. Great group shot almost all of us looking at the camera . Hopefully Ian has one with all of us looking at the camera and the dogs paying attention. That would be awesome for a official event shot. Check out the Dobereich Dobes Facebook page too lots of activity there and here on the event.

LOL Gary... Asha doesn't fit under the seat anymore ... great memories of the trip to meet Monica, Barb and Karrier, Dante and Kazi in Toronto. I wish I could join one of D.O.G. meetings but my dogs are not excited to travel in cargo. Spoiled bastards I truly enjoy following your meetings.

Lisa, we have no intention of letting those "spoiled bastards" travel in the cargo hold....we're sending the private jet to pick all of you up!
Wish us luck with 649!!!! lol

Wow... so much going on, and so much activity on this thread now after the meet. I could echo the sentiments of so many on here about what a great day it was... but being a photographer, I prefer to go with "pictures speak louder than words". I have finally managed to get through the shots, done some editing, and pulled about 65 shots and posted them to my fan page on Facebook. I hope you all can see them. If you are not a member of that page... all you have to do is a search for "Bo Casey Photography" and the facebook page should come up, either in FB, or in Google. I didn't get as many hiking shots as I wanted, probably because we all got somewhat separated in the beginning. I have my own list of Thank you's to send out... absolutely Gary should be at the top of the list because he not only has a passion for the breed, but for the people associated with it. The effort put into this to make it a success by Gary and his wife, certainly does not go unnoticed. Friends of mine that were in attendance and then left before we all hooked up again, Peter and Barbie... for making the drive and partaking in the walk with their Beauceron Nelly... and looking after Diamond or Magnum while I was taking pics. Cathy for also coming along and looking after whichever one of my dogs, or both most times, to ensure I could focus on pic taking. To everyone else who made the drive, no matter how long or short, to spend time with a unique, beautiful group of dogs... and their unique beautiful owners, thanks for making the day memorable. and of course to Joanne's Mom for the amazing bandanas that make it absolutely impossible for a photographer to go through 300 photos of Dobermans and try to figure out which one is which because they all have the same bandana on. My kids love them... thanks. If anyone cannot get on to FB to see the pics I have put up, let me know... and we'll have to find another medium. I'm off to wash the Nikon germs off my hands...

Wow. Great pix, everyone. And Ian, the FB display is wonderful -- but who the heck is Bo Casey? And can we get in touch with you for copies of some of the shots?

Ian AWESOME Shots! Thank you for the kind words, it makes it all worthwhile ;D I can see what you mean about trying to figure out which dog is which.
We need to pick a group shot and add the logo and caption for the 3rd meet. I like if the person's name and dogs name is under them in the shot. I did one up for the 1st and 2nd meet if you look back on the message threads you can see what I did. I think there will be interest from the attendees to get a hero shot like that. I drymounted mine and they are on my office wall and gave drymounted copies to Monica too.
Those that attended if you are reading this, post up your thoughts on getting your own D,O.G group shot personalized with logos name etc like I posted up from the 1st and 2nd events.

Wow. Great pix, everyone. And Ian, the FB display is wonderful -- but who the heck is Bo Casey? And can we get in touch with you for copies of some of the shots? LOL Dyanne... that would be me... long story and a nickname that's been around for 20 years so far with my family. As for the pictures, for sure people can get in touch with me about them. Feel free to email me at ian@bocaseyphotography.ca When I go out to do photoshoots for clients, it includes the shoot, editing, and digital images in high resolution on a disk... these are without watermark and are large files that can easily be blown up... as far as poster size without losing any resolution. What I was thinking with the pics from this event was to give a big discount to DOG members, covering costs and time to edit the originals if anyone wants them, or making prints (I can do up to 8.5x11 on my pro-printer at home or can get larger prints locally for an external fee depending on size) for them. A portion of that fee would then go to Gary to offset the costs for the next D.O.G. meeting perhaps... to cover costs on tangibles such as water, maybe getting a big coffee thing from Tim Horton's, muffins, snacks etc... thoughts? Again, the full size, high resolution images, or prints will not have my company watermark on them, and can be blown up very large. The ones that are on Facebook have been reduced in size, and pixel count so that if someone were to take the picture (outside of the group) they can't blow it up without it becoming pixelated and distorted.

On the picture note I would like to suggest something for those that attended and post up if you have interest. How about a quality group shot edited and cropped and the option to buy just the print and also get it drymounted to your liking. The picture would have the D.O.G logo and 3rd Meeting location & date, names of those attending and dogs under each person.I did the 1st 2 meets up for myself and Monica from the 1st 2 events and they are on my wall of fame in my office> I know from drag racing I buy any decent shots of my car in action from the track photographers, The going rate for 8X11 shots, high res quality printed on photo paper is $20 So with that in mind those that were at D.O.G post up your thoughts.............. 1. do you want to buy a picture like I'm describing from Ian and what would you pay for a shot like that? 2. would you like it drymounted and plaqued ( That's extra, I have a great place reasonable if Ian doesn't) Est $10 extra for drymounting depending on the size. I attached up a picture of part of my wall of fame so you can get an idea what I'm taking about the D.O.G pictures are in the center. Post away your thoughts please! Attachments:
