Awwww. Zeus is so handsome and lucky! Now Gino is jealous He loves swimming. Glacial lakes are cold but he jumps into the freezing water. He would love to swim in the lake Ontario. Has Zeus opened the swimming season yet? Our off-leash season will be over soon. Rockies are crowded in the summer. A fine for walking off-leash is high and it's risky too. We met grizzly bears a few times.

Thanks for sharing the pictures Mike! He is a big guy He looks really big in the last picture. I have seen his brother a couple times and he's growing too! I saw him on Saturday we ran into his mom walking him and I couldn't believe how much bigger he was from the 1st time I saw him a week after he came home. Not sure of Bryce's collar color, but there were 3 males in the litter if my memory is right, so he's one of the other 2 males ;D I asked his mom to come on the board and post some pictures of Bryce so hopefully she does share them with the other N litter family members.

Hi everyone....Kerrie wants you to know that she went back to work this week doing a fill=in for someone, so she's very lax on pictures......Gary.....Bryce is blue collar====I only know that as he was Kerrie's favourite male of the N=litter.....she almost brought him home....Kazi is a little devil herself. She can be sweeter than pie, a real cuddler....and then.....this little Kamikazi comes out and it's all hell breaking loose.
Her focus is incredable....and she too is over 30 lbs..not sure exactly, but if anyone ever saw her eat, they would think it'd been days since she had eaten....it's about 1 min=1min 15 sec for her to eat 1 1/2 cups of food.....she is crazy fast. We have nicknamed her MANY different names, and poor Dante can only watch as she slowly takes control of the household, and his life. lol...can't wait for Dante to introduce Kazi to Lake Huron. He was a little nervous about going into the water at first, and thank goodness there was another dog on the beach, so when the other dog went into the water, so did Dante. Slowly he went out further and further, and now he loves running the beach and retreaving sticks, etc from the water. A good run on the beach, and he's done for the day. Well, almost.
Kazi has just started to sleep thru the night, consecutively. I'm so happy for her. And does anyone else have a "snorer"......it is so cute, and loud. lol. But I love to hear her breathing,,,,,very peaceful for me.
So, when Kerrie leaves the real world at the end of this week, she will have more time to devote to the dogs. Therefore, more time for pictures. In the meantime, we are enjoying everyone elses posts.......

hahahaha......if Kazi goes to visit Asha, looking at the pictures of the mountains, I;m coming too.\\
We just love the pictures......wow.....those are 2 very, very lucky dogs. Ours were at scent class tonight and Dante did very well. Rather than treats, he is now using "scent" for the dogs to find. Amazing when you watch it done. His confidence is way up....and his fears are diminishing . Good help us when Kazi gets to this same spot in about 2 months.....help Monica.....we need obedience class!!!! lol
So keep posting.....love your pictures

Our luck is "melting"... and trails will be crowded in the summer. Asha and Gino are allowed there on the leash only . We take Asha to our dog park (huge off-leash area) next to our house. She is not afraid at all... such a confident girl. Asha doesn't want pee or poo outside of our backyard. Does Kazi? When we were in the mountains she peed everywhere... and she has NEVER done it in the dog park. I guess the place is way too smelly for my princess Asha learned not to poo in the house but she still has occasional pees. The dog park is the best place to socialize her...but she is getting jealous when Gino plays with his girlfriends Yesterday she was barking at one of his girls. Can you image it??? I train her as much as I can... she is catching fast. We started on heal... not much success yet. She is very determined to GO...CATCH...BITE. A little devil is growing into... who knows what!

There is a program her not far from my house, for $1000 you get lifetime training support for your dog. I know that I can ask Monica anything and I know I will get as much support from her as she can provide from so far away. Since this is my first dobie I want to make sure she gets all the training I can provide her. They also do scent work and advanced obedience. It's called Off Leash Dog Training. It was developed by a guy retired from the US Air Force as a dog handler. He uses the same training that the military uses for their dogs. Great stuff! I feel like the whole family is going to go to puppy school.

What if his company stop its business after you pay $1000? I heard many stories... and I never pay in advance.
What if you don't like his training and find something better later?
What if you decide to start Schuzhund or agility training in the future?
What if you decide to show your girl and need to take handling classes?
I prefer to be flexible and decide as I go...
If you confident you want his training and that's all you need... go for it!

Lisa and everyone N litter - I'm not trying to hijack your thread talking about F litter Zeus. Lisa you asked me a question about Zeus and swimming etc. Zeus III is our 5th doberman and the only one that liked water or would go near it was our 1st doberman Oytis. We lived in the country at the time and he would walk around in the ditches and edges of the pond around our place looking for frogs grabbing sticks etc and was always in the mud. he was a real mudpuppy! Now the rest of them no water! #2 Prince we had a pool in that home and I would pick him up and set him in the water and he would swim to the steps and stay clear of the pool at all costs. I remember him a couple times in extreme heat step down to the 1st step and stand in the pool, but that was very rare. Zeus 1 - no pool in that house and never went near water. He would get the odd walk along Lake Ontario but never go near the water. Zeus II - same house and pool added in his later years. about the 2nd day water was in the pool he fell in backwards in the shallow end and never went near the water. For years it was funny as he would trot around the pool and the exact same place he fell in he would look down to the edge of the pool everytime he went by. A few times on a real hot day I would pick him up and carry him into the pool and then stood and aimed him towards the steps and let him go, but that was all for his swimming. Zeus III - he hasn't fallen in and I still do the carry into the shallow end and aim him, but he does everything he can to avoid the water at all costs. Walk along the lake same deal, no desire for watersports. Attached swimming lessons.....NO I didn't throw him in! As Monica says he's "King" Zeus he was carried in, slowly set down into the water and held so he could practice his paddling, then released and he took off to the steps splashing and paddling and sinking like a rock on his way to the steps! Lisa,
I haven't paid for the training yet. I was just saying that I'm seriously thinking about doing that with her. I may at some point want to do agility but I think that with all of the things offered to me through his training it wouldn't be that difficult too carry all we've learned a little further to include agility. He told me he wanted to wait till she is here with me so I could bring her in, with a demo puppy he will give me a demonstration of his training. I am familiar with the training that the military does with their dogs. It is all positive reinforcement. This guy has just marketed the military's techniques so the public has access to it. I have no intention of showing. I really don't have that much extra time or money and I really just enjoy having a companion. Competition is just not that fun to me unless of course it's showing horses. The horse does all the work, no running involved. Don't get me wrong I love to run but not in front of a scrutinizing crowd. Just not my cup of tea.

I agree Gary, Dobermans don't like water. My first boy was a good swimmer. The second one hated water and was uncomfortable to cross the creek. Gino learned to swim chasing a stick... he has a high drive. Poor boy didn't notice he swam and got scared splashing and whining... NOw he is a good swimmer but he goes into the water only when chasing a stick. Asha has a chance to learn it from Gino. She seems not to be scared of water... she is never scared at all... very confident girl. Gino's swimming video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VblBhB5aXNcHeather you have a good plan then I don't like to pay in advance but if you are confident that's a good trainer... go for it! Dobermans love to work. Also training helps to bond with a dog.
