I found concerning information about Canidae food on ConsumerAffairs web page. www.consumeraffairs.com/pets/canidae.htmlCan you please give me your feedback? We have no issues feeding Asha Canidae ALS. Gino likes Asha's kibble too... but if there is any health risk involved with Canidae I would prefer to feed raw food.

Lisa, If you look at the date, it was back in 2008 when Canidae switched their formula. The change in formula was significant, and when people finished one bag and went to the new one, it spelled disaster for some dogs. This doesn't mean that the food itself was bad, or tainted, etc. Only that it was so different from the old formula that it was almost like switching brands of food completely. Sensitive dogs could have severe reactions, even pancreatitis, and death. This is why people are warned to never switch a dog cold turkey onto a new food. The new formula for Canidae was advertised over several months. I knew about it, and my dogs were blended over without any problems. I did notice that they didn't need quite as much food, maybe 1/4 cup less. I've fed Canidae to my dogs for 11-12 years, and as long as they don't change the formula to a potato and pea type diet, I will continue to raise my dogs on this food. Also use Acana and Go'Natural, so those are my 3 food choices at home. Acana is on my trial right now, but it will not replace Canidae, it might replace Go'Natural for me. Time will tell.

I fed Gino Acana and he had loose stools. He is fine on Canidae and he likes it. I give him 2 cups as addition to his raw food.
I posted the link when I noticed reviews written in 2010 and 2011.

Hi Lisa....we gradually changed Dante from Go'Natural to Acana Grasslands, and he has just thrived on it. We were extrememly slow at switching over from one food to another...like 3-4 weeks...but now that he is on Acana he has firm stools, has probably gained close to 10 lbs, has a beautiful coat.....we are really happy with the results.

We have to consume the large back of Canidae first. I mix kibble and raw (50/50) for Asha. Gino has been on raw since he was 6 months old. He get kibble as a treat now. He likes it too much... Definitely, grass always looks greener on the other side

Ditto with brother Zeus. The Acana Grasslands is working well same results.
