Yes, everything is good once again in Dante and Kazi's world. lol....
Kerrie and Kazi had a great night together Friday night....they unpacked and headed over to a friends campfire where Kazi lay on her blanket, chewed on her bull-winkle, and even fell asleep. People came and left, and she was awesome. This was her first camp-fire experience, and she was amazing. Sleeping was kind of comical--Kerrie kept trying to get away from her thru-out the night....inching her way back and forth across the bed while Kazi kept falling asleep with her head/body laying across Kerrie's legs.
Saturday morning, a quick walk and then coffee-time at another friends. Kazi is really a gentle, loving dog and she and Kerrie are really enjoying eachother's company. One-on-one she is a very sweet, easy-going dog. I'm glad that Kazi has been able to spend quality time with Kerrie, experience everything that Dante usually does, and just be spoiled by our friends and Kerrie.
So, Dante and I arrive mid-afternoon, and Dante is whining for the last 3 minutes of our drive as he knows where we are. As soon as we arrive, Kerrie takes Dante for a walk to greet him, and then Kazi and Dante reunite on the deck....gosh they missed eachother. But ironically, there was no heavy-duty horse play between them. Their pack was back together, and all was good again in their world. I was very impressed with how "calm" they have been over the whole weekend....each dog with each of us, plus their together time. Kazi is maturing into a very loving, caring dog-----Mama Juno would be very proud of her. As for Mr. Man, he is just a sweet boy! He's a funny guy.....he can come across as being "so tough", and yet when you get to know him, he's a complete suckie-boy. As I'm writing this, he's asleep as my feet--his paw and my foot touching....he can certainly make me feel special when he wants to.
So, I certainly can't wait to do this again....both for us and for the dogs.
Thank goodness each of us had a great experience with our dogs.....I know that Kerrie really missed and misses her one-on-one time with Dante, but it was great for Kazi to be able to experience all that as well.
