I am proud of you my sister! Way to go Kazi... you have to learn to swim without a jacket to have a real fun. I don't buy you are getting tired. I am never tired of swimming...and I am one crazy bitch as my mom likes to say Too bad my mom's arm is getting tired to throw a stick for me. I hope we will meet one day and have a good swim together.

Wow, that's quite the feat Lisa......the dogs have enjoyed themselves this week. The temps were reasonable today, so we drove up to the French River. What a beautiful area! Some sightseeing, and back home for an early evening swim. I can't believe that the dogs are still awake! LOL!
One thing we have noticed.....the dogs are more "relaxed and chilled" when they get rid of their energy. I think they slept for 18 hours on Tuesday, they were so tired from the swimming and the heat!

Asha, I would love to go swimming with you. I'm still getting stronger, but I love the water. I am so excited to go swimming, that I run all the way from the house to the waters edge...and run in. My Mom is so slow that I can't wait for her. I know she'll catch up eventually! In all honesty, I only did that 1 day.....then Mom got wise to me and made me walk in heel position the rest of the time. Oh we'll...I'm still a puppy I guess. Lol.
I can't wait for you and I to meet..... Until then I am working towards being a stronger swimmer!

Well, the swimming days in Georgian Bay are over for this month. Kazi adapted well at coming home, but she adapts well in any situation! Dante: another story. He wanted to leave the house shortly after arriving home. He was out of sorts, in a weird way. I think he absolutely loved our home this past week, and once again he has put thoughts of moving to Lake Huron and building on our property there back into our heads.... Kazi did approximately 10 laps in her yard....lol. She was so funny.....she went out and sniffed all of her areas where the rabbits run thru....( they never forget ).

The dogs have been sleeping for the past hour....Kazi is under "new house" rules since coming home...funny how you can adapt them into their lives when you change locations....lol. So, rule #1---no human bed.....( she was perfect on vacation )...#2---she is listening much better when we are playing fetch...meaning she is actually sitting-staying while I have her "most favourite ball" and walk away from her ( all that work in the lake is paying off )...BUT...rule #3---it hasn't happened yet, but no doubt all rules are meant to be broken...LOL

LOL.... I am sure she will break rule 1 in no time. I can not image not to let Asha in my bed in the morning. That's the best cuddling time ever!

. . . and once again he has put thoughts of moving to Lake Huron and building on our property there back into our heads.... I think you two are being remiss in failing to build a brand new house on Lake Huron for long-suffering Dante. Poor guy. LOL.

I know.....poor Dante! Lisa...you surprise me. I can't believe that you let Asha into your bed each and every morning. That's what Kerrie says about Dante each morning...it's their cuddle time, and also when he is the "most romantic".....LOL

Barb I have double cuddles from Asha and Gino in the morning...it's fun to watch how they compete to get closer to me. I love the morning cuddles! It takes 20 min before I get up and start my business day.

It has taken the dogs a few days this week to get back into "city life" routine. Basically, that means BORING life. No free runs outside, no swimming in the lake, no being flanked by wilderness on each side of the house. Monica said it would take them a couple of days to re-adjust to being home, and she was right.
A beautiful sunny morning outside today...and Kazi is sitting/laying on her deck in her perla bed watching the world go by. Oops, now she's laying on the grass...I can't believe her in that she has been outside since 7:30am today, and how content she is to be outside alone. Even though she always does this, it still seems to surprise me.
Dante has been outside with her, but he is such a "shadow"....he's been inside with me for the better part of the last hour. Kerrie's been at The Bend for the past 48 hours, so it will be a love-fest ( no doubt ) for Dante and her when she gets home. But amazing bonding time for the 3 of us...Kazi has been such an amazing influence on Dante. I can't imagine his life without her in it, and how she has enriched his life. She calms him when we are not at home. It's as if life is less stressful for him with her at his side. She nurtures him like we can't. Play with him like we can't. Annoys him like we can't ( lol ). She is definitely a character...she has just come inside and has already gone up to Dante, got him off of their couch, and is trying to play with him by throwing her toy at him...and she wins each and most every time. I glanced over at them and he is squatted on the floor, she is standing over him, and he is licking her ear. He is a lucky, lucky guy.

As predicted, Kerrie has come home and has been counting the amount of kisses that Dante has been giving her....blah, blah, blah. LOL. But, she HAS noticed that Dante is far more attentive to me, and that these weekends alone with the dogs have been "paying off" in leaps and bounds.
Kazi is usually the fastest eater I have seen, but tonight at the dogs dinner, Dante was only 10 kibble behind her. Unbelievable!!! I'm telling you.....she is a great influence on him! hahaha
