When I am reading your posts it's like you are writing about my dogs. I love to watch their games. It's never rough... and always funny when she makes a bow to encourage Gino to play. Then their stalking... OMG... I can not stop laughing.... and when they jump over each other. Cute couple Asha decided to follow her sister steps. My little monster killed a baby bird and hurt a gopher! She is a hunter this season.... please Asha don't hunt after bikers!!!

Our girls....they won't die in the wilds, that's for sure. They have been playing tonight -- and now are laying on the carpet licking/biting eachother ( she's doing the biting and Dante is doing the licking ) He is so sweet with her....and she treats him like DIRT! lol. All Dante is looking for is some kisses from her, and she keeps on biting him....poor guy!
You need a sign outside your yard.....BIKERS BEWARE OF ASHA

Dante sounds like a very sweet boy. Gino is tougher with Asha. He may lick/bite Asha and play equal... or maybe Asha is not as tough as Kazi is. My girl is still dominating him but in more gentle way. They are so much fun to watch!
I need the sign in the off-leash park LOL

Dante is a sweet boy.....at least with Kazi. As for burglars, they best be wary of him...lol. He is a true Doberman who protects his property, and that includes Kazi and us and the physical properties.
He is definitely gentler with her than she is with him...lol. Tonight, he went on the search for her....she was resting on their couch in the living room. He stood infront of her and barked at her until she'd had enough of it...barked back at him after giving him the snarls with her mouth, then got off the couch. Mission accomplished is what he was saying....he wanted her to get up and play with him. Through the house they ran, and I had to get their attention back to me to stop that nonsense. But Dante is like that....when he wants her to play with him, it has to be on his timeline.
I think now we need to build her a gazebo outside. Today the skies opened up, and she was able to lay on her Kuranda bed under the cover of a tree until the rain became too much and even that spot got drenched. So, I'm thinking that some type of cover from the elements would be appreciated by Kazi. She absolutely LOVES the outdoors...rain or shine, snow or heat. She wanted to go outside again shortly afterwards, in the rain, so I put her rain jacket on, opened the door and off she went. She found her bone in the yard, and brought it back to the back door so she could bring it inside to chew. All of this still took approx. 3-4 minutes, but the rain didn't bother her. Infact, I was actually thinking that she was taking her time wondering around the yard as she was trying to figure out what to do. Eventually she decided on her bone, and then came back to the door. So yes, I think some type of covered area is "in the works" for Ms. Kazi.

You two are such a hoot . . . a gazebo for Miss Kazi no less. Those are 2 lucky dogs for sure.
By the way . . .how are they enjoying the Kuranda beds? I have ordered one for Quin as well (that's his Big Birthday gift this year). So tired of replacing all those cheapy things he either doesn't like or tosses around like a toy..lol.

Only a gazebo for Kazi? When Dante has been promised a house on Lake Huron? What gives? LOL.

Yes your princess Kazi needs a gazebo Another rotten spoiled dog! Asha's hunting season is progressing. Today she rubbed her face and neck in poop (disgusting!) It's a hunting mechanism for wolves, they do it to disguise their own scent. Maybe I should let Asha join wolves pack. I think she is totally ready! So to be... a gazebo for princess Kazi and pack of wolves for her wild sister Asha

Hahaha....we laughed at your post Dyanne. As you can tell, Dante is the "favored" child....NOT! lol. He was, however, the inspiration for purchasing the lot on Lake Huron.
Kazi took a little bit ( 2 weeks ) to take to her Kuranda bed. Monica said to just leave it where she could find it and lay on it, and finally she did. She told us not to try to force it on her, which we didn't. She was on the deck, and was trying to get up and lay on the sectional, and Kerrie was giving her the "ah ah"...she then went over to the Kuranda bed and laid down on it. So now she is very comfortable on it, and it's now her outdoor bed. They also have a bed each for inside the house, but Kerrie hasn't put them together yet.
Asha is definatley a hunter, and a stinky one! lol. I remember only a couple of months ago we got home from the cottage and Dante ran into the back yard and found "shit" and he also rubbed his neck/face in it. Oh....Kerrie was sooooo MAD at him....it was late Sunday night, she was tired, and all she wanted was a cup of tea and to relax.....instead she had Dante in the bath washing him.....hahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh he didn't move...just looked at her with his puppy dog eyes---I'm sorry Mommy...I love you...I won't do it again.....
As for her gazebo.....I'm thinking maybe a pergola might work for us better.
Asha....I'm watching Amazing Race Canada, and they're in Calgary and I was expecting to see a black floppy-eared Doberman running across the backdrop.....lol

We had the 2 dogs at the vets this past Saturday for check ups, more or less. Kazi has been limping since last Thursday so we wanted to let our vet check her out, and Dante has a nasty bite-wound on the left side of his face that hasn't heeled well ( probably from Kazi, the little brat ), so we wanted the vet to look at that as well. After checking her body and leg/paw area, she doesn't have any ligament issues---seems though that her 3rd digit on the front left pad is very tender. She has been licking it also, which we know doesn't help the situation, so we are trying to watch her more closely, and some meds for her discomfort, but she should recover with no issues. As for Mr. Man, some ointment to help heal the area, and they were good-to-go. No vet visit is complete without knowing what Kazi weighs-----she's 90.5 lbs. now, not that she's lost or gained weight. She seems to be holding around this weight, and she looks awesome. When our friends saw her Saturday night, they asked if she had lost weight saying she looked very "svelte". After a little laugh about their comment regarding her weight, even they were amazed that she is as heavy as she is, yet looks as great as she does. I only wish I could hide my weight as well as she does...lol.

He hates it, though I know some dogs really like it. Hope Dante heals soon, as well. When Jack was weighed at the vet on Thursday, I was pleased to find that he has cracked 84 lbs. If he and Kazi ever get into an underwear fight, he doesn't stand a chance. LOL.

When dogs start limping first scary thought is "ligement". That's great to hear Kazi has no injury. Her pad will heel in no time. Gino had injured pad a month ago. It took 5 days to heel.
Asha is a horrible jumper. My heart sank not once "OH MY GOD>> I hope she would come out of that jump without an injury!" She seems to be quite agile and flexible. I would love to stop her jumping but it's impossible. Speedy jumpy drivey girl! Gino is totally opposite. I have not seen any scars on him for a while. They are a cute couple now and their games make me laugh a lot.
How is Dante's wound? You may apply silver gel. It works great for my dogs.
Don't worry about Kazi's weight. She looks great. Her bones are heavy and her build is strong... it adds to her weight. Asha's weight seems to be stable around 80lbs. She is lighter than Gino is.
I like Dyanne's suggestion about Bittle Apple. You may try Apple Cider vinegar. It will help to heal. Kazi may not like smell and taste of it.

I don't worry about Kazi's weight. I do comment on it though, as I guess I still am amazed that she is so heavy. But she looks amazing, and her body looks great. I hope that her pad heels quickly....when she gets up in the morning or after a sleep, she hobbles around. Then she goes outside, and literally BOLTS out the door and runs...go figure!
Dante's wound is healing well....a little blimp on Sunday night as we didn't catch him scratching his face early enough, and he had opened the wound so it was really bloody....poor guy. But it looks good tonight, and so far so good. We laughed at these two....like having 2 sick children who have been kept home from school...lol
