Monroe was a sweetheart! We choose Mira (red female). Mira was just so adorable and soo sweet. I think she is the only one that did not bite my toes while I was there haha.

And her love for her dogs extends beyond her own personal dogs....she loves ALL of her dogs that she has brought into this world. You will have her full support to guide you in this journey starting now until.......... I could definitely tell and it made me feel so comfortable and assured! Great feeling when making such a big decision

Mira and monroe are adorable! We live to far away to drive down for selection so we relied on Monica's good judgement We are getting the red collar male, whom my 4 year old dubbed "Bosco" (from marmaduke) Can't wait to meet him

Just want to say that I'm enjoying reading the "love" already happening between you and your puppies. It is so awesome to be on this side of the doggy fence....watching new parents talk about their puppies/the excitement happening. Trust Monica to place the right puppy with the right family. She has a "knack" for this....
Anyways, don't forget your Dobereich family are here to share this new chapter with you....hope you're getting your Doggy-shopping done? lol

I have already done all the basic shopping and now I'm reading through the handbook to pick up any remaining things tomorrow so that everything is there when Monroe arrives. My biggest worry is taping the ears cause I'm scared I will hurt him or not do a good job :S

Hi Jordan, for some reason I can't link posts. I believe we meet your boy last night. He is adorable, as they all are. Did you take any pics? Unfortunately, we weren't able to take many decent shots of him because we were just so excited to finally play with the little one. By the time we remembered to take some single photos of him, he passed out! Lol I'll try to attach pictures. My wife and I were deciding between the red collar male and the black/white collar. Both great pups, but the black/white was the one that stood out to us. When we finally got to spend some time with him, he was totally attached to my wife. I had to wait until he fell asleep before I was able to kidnap him from her haha. I liked that he was more of a medium drive dobe. He was both active and lazy (if that makes sense), which is perfect for me! Lol. I would love to be able to run with him at a park, and/or just sit around and do nothing. Anyways, I've attached a picture of our little prince. If it doesn't show, it's because I'm attempting to attach it from my cellphone. Attachments:

I am not surprised he is active and lazy (Eden and Apollo!) My girl is lazy and quiet at home and a ball of energy when we go for a walk. She is 1/2 sister to Eden.

My biggest worry is taping the ears cause I'm scared I will hurt him or not do a good job :S I haven't had a dobe around for seven years. First baby was 1992, the second was 2001. Different breeders, different posting methods, but honestly after the first one or 2 times you will be a pro at it. and there seems to be Dobereich owners everywhere, there might be one in your area you could help you the first time or two.

Are you still going with Ganon? I think that's a great name Yep! Ganon will be coming home soon hopefully. I'm worried about ear taping too. But everyone keeps telling me I'll get the hang of it real quick. Now that we're in the final stretch, I've been getting myself in the zone, researching effective training methods and routines on YouTube and the rest of the internet.

Oh, my goodness. Those little W-litter faces are soooo sweet.
As for posting . . . Jack is the first dog we've ever had with cropped ears, and we were very nervous about this. But Monica gave us a tutorial (she makes it look sooo easy), as well as written instructions. Other than the minor domestic disputes ("You're wrapping too tightly." "The posts need to be deeper in his ears." Etc.), posting went like a dream. Jack would regularly fall asleep while we were reposting.
One of the biggest problems for us was finding the posting materials on Monica's list. We had to go several different places to find everything we needed, so you might want to start gathering supplies now.

I found all of the supplies at Shoppers home health care around my area just in case anyone is wondering. they have the tensoplast and the ummm big white roll of tape to wrap the posts with i forget the name lol.

Just a plug....let Monica know if you want supplies now so she can order some and have it ready for you upon pickup of your puppy. Perhaps some of you could add your area where you live so those of us reading can determine if you're in/near us. Thanks...
