I am not sure their teeth will get brighter so fast Also it depends on a dog. Gino has real pearls and Asha does not have as bright white teeth as Gino Raw feeding benefits to my dogs overall health. No skin issues. No digestive problems. Fresh breath. Great coat. Small poop what you have already noticed.... and lots of energy!

Saturday we are heading out to pick up 40lbs of turkey necks for the freezer. Good grief I say..lol. The chicken has been an overwhelming success, and so now it's time to add a new meat to their food. I walked into the house tonight after work, and the house smelled amazing. I laughed when I said it to Kerrie, but I figured it was their meal....little brats are eating better than us now..lol. But alas, it was homemade soup for us...phew.

Tomorrow's turkey buying day got cancelled today as they didn't have enough there...nice of them to let us know though. So now we will check out another source for chicken backs, etc and if they're open tomorrow then we will be heading there instead.
Anyone want to come for dinner??

Well we were at the farmers market today and we sourced out a great butcher where all of his meats come from Highland farms in Stoney Creek. We picked up so much stuff today we almost filled the freezer we had for the dogs, so now tomorrow looks like we are picking up a second freezer from a friend who is moving and needs to get rid of it, so we lucked out there. They were great to deal with, their prices were great, and he will call Kerrie this week to make sure what we didn't get today will be there next Saturday. Now that's convenient. I think she still has to go to Tillsonburg to pick up the turkey necks, but everything else we can buy from this butcher. So Lisa, if we come for dinner tomorrow, then it's your turn to come for dinner next weekend.

At tonights dinner, I couldn't get Dante "out" of Kazi's crate to feed her, and this is a dog who hates crates. He absolutely loves eating raw. Well they both do actually. He was so happy to see me tonight that he was giving me kisses exactly as he does to Kerrie...and that is not something that he does on a regular basis. He is just a very happy guy right now...and I'm loving it and enjoying his attention.

Does Kazi love raw?... or it does not matter what is in her bowl... it just disappears in seconds LOL... thinking about her sister.
I am not surprised Dante enjoys his meals. Most dogs love raw food. What kind of meat did you buy from butcher? Sounds like you luck out!

Very funny Lisa...but you are right about Kazi. She will eat whatever you put in front of her. She is also enjoying her raw food like her big brother Dante. Kerrie picked up turkey necks Thursday and it has now been introduced in their meal plan. We had to pick up another larger freezer Wednesday, and have the 2 freezers now for the dogs..lol. Can you believe it? Tomorrow we are heading back to the farmers market as the butcher has tripe for us, and also some other meats. But it is truly quite a bit of effort to actually "get ready" to start feeding raw. But you know the old saying...no gain without any pain. These dogs are certainly keeping us busy this week!
Both of the dogs coats are looking shinier, their poops are smaller, and even Kazi is smelling better. lol...yes even our little doodle-bug is "freshening up" her image thanks to raw. Dante is such a funny boy about raw food also. The whole "crate thing" is quite a feat for him, but he gets so excited when he knows that Kerrie is getting their food ready he just doesn't know what to do, so he waits in the crate. Tonight, each one ate separately in the crate as we are experiencing a heavy rainfall outside.

Thank goodness the rain stopped and it cooled down last night so the mud this morning has hardened somewhat. Well the first week of mud has come and gone and we survived it. Argghh...hate this time of the year.
We are off now to pick up the dogs food. Geez, as Mike says they sure do own us. Also fresh eggs from he farmers as they will be getting that added also to their food.

I told you raw feeding is addictive Fresh eggs, goat, lamb.... and more delicious food you don't buy for yourself. Kerrie must enjoy seeing Dante so happy and impatient to get his meals. I was laughing when you said "Kazi if freshening up" LOL

Yes Lisa is does feel addictive. We didn't buy goat or lamb yet for the dogs...the lamb is for us. lol. You are absolutely right about Kerrie enjoying feeding her boy the raw food. And Kazi for that matter too. Dante loves his dinner, slowly savoring each and every bite. He is just so cute. Mention the word "dinner", and you will see 2 Dobermans come happily bounding-prancing thru the house, come running from the yard....wherever they are that one word brings them running!
Kazi is "freshening up"...Kerrie keeps saying she's a stinky dog. Dante is perfect ( sigh ), and he doesn't have the "outdoorsy smell" that she does. lol.

Oh, and apparently they loved the tripe they had for dinner tonight. But not so much Kerrie. She was gagging as she was wrapping it up for the freezer, and yes she did gag too. Blah....oh what we do for our dogs.

Well the new rains have opened up about 2 hours ago here, and we are back in full mud. And all of the pet beds in the tv room were piled up on the kuranda bed, and Ms. Kazi has claimed them ALL. Poor Dante is laying on the carpet with his head close to the floor register to try to get warmth while she is snoring away on her pillow top-pillow-top bed. LOL. I ask: how many beds can 1 girl have?
